General overview

"Isabella's Cottage" is a restored historic cottage dating from the Gold Rush era that established the beautiful town of Arrowtown. This charming town is often viewed as living history, with many sites being so accessible. For example the restored Chinese village which was originally established by early miners. This cottage is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Arrowtown with its many attractions, restaurants, cafes, bars, museum and laid back atmosphere. Arrowtown is surrounded by 3 golf courses, one of which hosts the annual New Zealand Open. Easy access to numerous trails with Arrowtown often being viewed as the hub of the Queenstown Trails network. The New Zealand adventure capital of Queenstown is 20 minutes drive away, whilst the whole area is full of simply stunning scenery and activities to overload your senses! A convenient, and inexpensive, bus system also links Arrowtown to Queenstown which saves you having to drive and find parking! For the ski fans the closest of many ski fields, Coronet Peak, is also only 20 minutes drive away. Named after Isabella Lowe, one of the first European female children born in Arrowtown who had links with the cottage, your stay here so close to all the area has to offer will leave you spell bound!

The space

Isabella's Cottage has recently undergone a complete 'make over' whilst retaining its historical charm and is a popular Arrowtown choice on the short term holiday rental markets. This encompassed full restoration and included a complete kitchen and bathroom replacement. All rooms upgraded and finished with selected heritage paint colours and give a genuine comfort. All furniture was selected or ordered bespoke to match the cottage style. Full insulation, under floor heating and electric wall heaters make it cosy warm in winter whilst retaining the historic design features which keep the cottage cool during the hot Central Otago summers. Two double bedrooms are stunningly finished, one of which has a feature original stack stone fireplace (although non-operational it provides genuine feeling of originality). Third bedroom with twin beds.

Guest access

Easy access, low level single story cottage.

Notes

Arrowtown is the charming, small village close to the tourist mecca of Queenstown and offers complete relaxation and enjoyment. Increasingly desired as a holiday stop, this town is full to the brim with history and appeal. Renowned restaurants, bars, cinema and shopping along with recreational options aplenty! Stay in Isabellas Cottage, so close to the main village area yet so quiet and peaceful.
