General Overview
We are nestled in a lovely little community, not far from Singapore’s fabulous Botanic Gardens and historic Dempsey Hill, and a short walk from lots of great coffee shops, cafes/restaurants and grocery stores. We are centrally located and Orchard Road and Sentosa are a 10-15 minute drive away or easily accessible by bus or MRT (train).
Despite not being too far from Singapore’s buzz, you are surrounded by nature – lush green trees and the delights of birds frolicking in the branches.
The Space
Our three bedroom, ~1,600sqft terrace house offers:
• Accommodation for six people in three large bedrooms – 1x king, 1x queen and 2x singles (that can be made into a king). All bedrooms are located on the second storey, accessible by a short flight of stairs. Two bedrooms have access to a small balcony
• One bathroom with shower only. No bath
• The stairs are not (young) child proof so care will need to be taken if young children are visiting
• Open plan dining/lounge
• Gas BBQ
• Fully equipped kitchen with a fan forced oven, microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso machine
• Air conditioning and ceiling fans. We rarely use the air conditioning as the house is reasonably cool
• Washing machine and dryer
• High speed wireless internet, Bose wireless bluetooth speaker and cable TV
• Lovely front garden perfect to enjoy an early morning coffee or a glass of wine in the late evening. The backyard is perfect for some basketball or swing ball
Our house is furnished with some amazing things we have collected from around the world – places we have lived or from one of our many travels - everything has a story and is of great sentimental value.
My son has always taken exceptional care of his toys
This is a home for those who do appreciate and respect the finer things in life and we expect guests and their children to demonstrate the same level of appreciation and care as we do.
Guest Access
Two floors accessible by stairs. Bedrooms located on second storey.
Note there are a few small steps on the first floor.

Neighbourhood
Our house is a five minute walk to Holland Village. Check out Google Maps to confirm just how close you are to absolutely everything.
From the front door you are 300m to the MRT (train) station and 150m to a bus stop that has multiple buses heading in the direction of Orchard Road or Great World City.
Within 15 minutes by bus or MRT you could:
• Travel to Orchard Road: ION Orchard, Ngee Ann City, Wisma Atria and Wheelock Place shopping centres and Takashimaya, Tangs and Isetan department stores. Keep walking a little further and you will discover more shopping. A little further on the bus and you can reach Plaza Singapura, Raffles City, Suntec City and Marine Square are also easily accessible.
• Enjoy a Singapore Sling or high tea at Raffles
• Take in the amazing views while enjoying a meal or drink from the sky high bars at The Swissotel, Andaz or Level 33
• Go to the casino at Marina Bay or Resorts World (Sentosa)
• Enjoy a few beers and a world of different local cuisines at Newton Food Circus
• Stroll through Gardens by the Bay and child’s water play area and playground
• Enjoy Sunday brunch (and free flow champagne!) at any one of the major international hotels

Closer to home you have the following on your door step:
• Dempsey Hill, a former army barracks now converted to house great some great restaurants and furniture stores (and for parents some great cafes with playgrounds)
• Singapore’s magnificent Botanic Gardens and Jacob Ballas playground and water play area
• Rail Corridor, pathway of Singapore’s former railway now converted to a paved bike/walking path surrounded by lush green forests
Other places of interest that are close
• Other great drinking establishments and eateries close by can be found at Boat, Clarke or Robertson Quays, Emerald Hill, Cuppage Terrace or just up the road.
• The Night Safari, Zoo, Bird Park or River Safari are best accessed by taxi or you can find a pick up point at a major hotel with direct buses to/from the parks.
Singapore is the gateway to other parts of Southeast Asia. It is 25 minutes by car to Malaysia (via the Woodlands check point) or a 55 minute ferry ride to Bintan or Batam in Indonesia.
There are lots of budget airlines if you want to explore something a little bit further (Scoot, AirAsia, Vietjet, Bangkok Airways etc). Check out Trip.com or the local sites for good deals.
