Neighbourhood

Lac Schryer is in the municipality of Montpellier. Residents bike, walk, paddle, swim and boat (not many). There is a great convenience store in town ( 5 kms) where you will find a butcher , homemade bread and delicious chicken pie along with all of the essentials. The region La Petite-Nation has a lot of lakes, rivers, organic farms and beautiful markets. The nature reserve Papineau—Labelle offers incredible day trips, hiking, cross-country skiing and dog-sledding as well as fishing and camping. Le parc des Montages Noires is a must for the whole family to enjoy as well as the National Park de Plaisance on the Ottawa River (45 min south). There are several delicious restaurants to discover, particularly in the quaint village of Montebello! In September, there are 2 amazing festivals: Ripon Trad ( world known traditional québécois band called Le Diable à 5 is the organizer) and a Medieval festival right here in Montpellier! https://www.PetiteNationOutaouais.com

Nearest airport

Montreal airport is 2h away. Ottawa airport is 1h30.

Getting Around
