General Overview
We love to watch the sunrises over the mountains, and the sunsets over the ocean. Our views are incredible! We love the peace and quiet, broken only by Howler monkeys. Our salt water pool provides all the cooling we need on the hot days, while the spacious deck area allows for entertaining, exercise, and relaxation. The beaches are only a short walk away and are lined with numerous restaurants, cafes, and boutique hotels. There are also two grocery shops. Popoyo is an international surf destination.
The Space
As you descend from the stairs exiting the upper parking area you will be amazed at the lushly landscaped courtyard area leading to the main level of this bright, well decorated home overlooking the Popoyo beach.
The master bedroom has a King bed, ensuite, and walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a single on top. The lower floor bedroom has a Queen bed. All bedrooms have sliding glass doors onto the veranda.
The kitchen, eating area, and living room are all one big, open space surrounded by floor to ceiling windows facing the beautiful views.
Guest Access
There are 2 floors. The entrance is on the main level which has the master suite, plus the second bedroom with the bunk bed. There are 2 bathrooms on this level, as well as the kitchen and main living area. Downstairs is the pool level which also has the queen bedroom, plus a bathroom. There is a large covered dining area next to the pool, and an expansive deck area.
Notes
Our home has a solar system which can run most of the house. The air conditioners can be used at night while sleeping if need be. When using the washing machine, it is best to make sure the A/C units are off, and it is a good idea to do laundry once the sun has topped up the solar panels on the roof. We encourage guests to use the clothesline and pegs on the pool level for drying. We hire Emerald Property Management who will be there to let you in. There will be weekly cleaners, and a gardener who will come twice/week to look after the salt water pool and gardens.
We have reverse osmosis drinking water at the kitchen sink, and a filtration system throughout the house.

Neighbourhood
Casa Wahoo is part of the Buena Onda HOA. Currently, there are 4 completed homes. There is 24 hour security, and you will be given a gate code for when the gate security changes over to the roaming security at night.
It is a short walk down the hill to the beach, and to a few of the restaurants. You can walk to Beginners Bay where you will fcompanies who offer surfing lessons.
It is a short drive north to the neighbouring beach community of Guasacate, which has great restaurants and cafes. It is a slightly longer drive south to the community of Rancho Santana, where you can visit their spa and restaurants. With the new highway almost completed, it only takes about 40 minutes to get to San Juan del Sur. You can enjoy the day there visiting the numerous beaches, shops, cafes, and restaurants.
Getting to my home
There are 2 routes into Nicaragua by air. One is to fly into Managua, the other is to fly into Liberia, Costa Rica. There is a bus to the Nicaraguan border, or we can suggest private transport options.
Guests will need to rent a 4x4 vehicle as the short road from the highway to our home can be rough.
