General Overview
We are a Polish/Scottish family of 4 (2 kids age 14 and 7)
Our family home is spacious and has been upgraded to a higher standard. We love our large, flat garden at the back, which you and your kids can enjoy on dry days. Additionally, there’s a cosy living room with a fireplace to warm up after cooler walks outside. The house provides plenty of space for a family of up to 7 people, and all bedrooms are en-suite.
The Space
We have 2 double bedrooms with a small double bed and king size bed, one bedroom can be converted into 2 single bunk bed all upstairs with 3 bathrooms.
Downstairs we have good size leaving with a very comfortable double sofa bed. (My mum stayed last Christmas, and she said that it was better than her bed at home, and she is hard to please, lol)
Leaving room has a fireplace and a small game table, a smart TV and a bookshelf. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy time together.
Guest Access
The house has a few steps leading inside, with the bedroom and bathroom located upstairs. Our garden is on a lower level, so you need to go down a few steps to reach it.
Notes
The garden is packed with fun games for everyone from ages 2 to 99, including a football goal, trampoline, swings, climbing frame, mini golf, badminton, and even a veggie patch. You’re welcome to enjoy strawberries, apples, tomatoes, or whatever else I manage to grow this year!
Ahh, and super important, we have great seating space outside to enjoy the Scottish sun or a barbecue feast!
Plenty of trees, bushes, and flowers around to observe wildlife.

Neighbourhood
Neighbours feel like family here, always kind and ready to help when needed. There are plenty of dog walkers, cyclists and respectful folks around. Just a five-minute walk from our home takes us to beautiful forests and scenic trails.
Our house is about a 15 to 20-minute walk from public transport options like buses or trains, which can get you to Glasgow Central in under 30 minutes. It’s also within walking distance of local shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants.
I will advice to have car around if you wish to explore more of north or west Scotland, but the nearest great hike is under an hour (Ben Lomond hill) or under 40 min to the coastline.
Beautiful Lochwinnoch (lake), only 15 minutes drive with great trails and a village vibe.

Aga&Neil
We’re a Polish-Scottish family of two adults, a teenage daughter, and a 6-year-old boy living in Scotland. We love adventure and exploring new places. With a seven-year age gap between the kids, it’s tricky to have them share a room, which has made holidays abroad quite expensive for us. The idea of a house exchange was a blessing, solving all our accommodation issues and saving us a lot of money. The kids are great travellers, so we don’t mind long distances as long as they have their own space to relax and recharge, lol.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
