Neighbourhood
We are located 3 miles north of downtown Asheville tucked into a beautiful neighborhood on a dead end street surrounded by beautiful trees that create a haven of privacy. We are a short distance to the Historic Grove Park Inn, Beaver Lake, UNC Asheville (also home to the weekly farmers' market), the Botanical Gardens, and to several area restaurants.
Our home is less than 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 15 minutes to the gates of the Biltmore Estate. We are 1 hr and 15 mins away from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Outdoor activities for the area include hiking, biking, rock climbing, white-water rafting, tubing, and geocaching. We highly recommend the websites: romanticasheville.com and uncorkedasheville.com for information on festivals/events, restaurants, and outdoor activities.
Nearest airport
The closest airport is AVL which is 20 mins from our home. GSP is 1 hour & 10 mins, and CLT is 2 hours away. When flying internationally we almost always fly in and out of CLT.
Getting Around
It would be best to have a car. Public transit is not the best here in Asheville.
