We live in a cute blue house on Howard Street in Eugene Oregon. It is central located in a quiet safe neighborhood, and only a block away from the wonderful Willamette River.
The Space
Our house is all one level with an open central living and kitchen area. There are two bedrooms, two offices that could also be used as bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. There is a nice fenced backyard with a porch and a garden and flower gardens and fruit trees in the front yard as well. There is a large driveway and easy accessibility. We have many hundreds of high quality book and DVD collections including many new releases. Kayaks and e-bikes in America's most bike able city available.

Neighbourhood
Howard street is lined with single story homes with well tended yards and friendly neighbors. The willamette river is short walk away and there is a beautiful bike path that goes along the river all the way to downtown Eugene. The city of Eugene is a college town with many things to do, great restaurants, breweries, and live music venues. It is a wonderful place to live and visit.
Getting to my home
In addition to automobile, our home is right off of River Road where there is access to the Lane Transit district bus system that runs regularly. Eugene is also a very bike friendly town and you can get anywhere by bike very easily. There is an Amtrak train that comes to Eugene daily from Portland
Nearest airport
The Eugene airport is about 6 miles away and a ten minute drive from our home.
Getting Around
We are 3 miles from downtown Eugene and about a mile from a large shopping center called Valley River. It's easy to get around by car, bus, or bike.

Jill
We are a couple of mental health therapists who have been in private practice for many years and are looking to explore Oregon and other places while winding down our work and getting ready for retirement. I am Jill, and my partner is Mike. We are in our 60's and don't have any pets. We love live music, going to festivals, and living healthy. We don't drink or smoke, and eat a plant-based diet. We love kayaking, biking, and being outdoors. I love to garden and would be happy to tend to a garden while staying at your home!
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
