General Overview
This traditional wooden house used to be part of a small farm run by my grandparents. It was built almost 100 years ago, but has since been modernised and enlarged. The house is now part of a quiet neighborhood in Mo i Rana, a middle-sized town. It has a lovely, large garden and a nice terrace, fenced in by trees and bushes and an old shed (not part of the exchange) which helps maintain a quaint, secluded vibe around the place. I lived in this house from age 0 to 4, and I love the way it has retained a lot of the original atmosphere while the world around it has developed.
The Space
Fairly large house suitable for 1 - 2 families or 2-3 couples. Ground floor has large, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room and a small lavatory. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms (one with 180 cm king-size bed, two with 90 cm beds) and an extra loft/living room which has a 140 cm queen-size bed which we use as a lounger/day bed. This room can be used as a bedroom sleeping up to two people, however you will need to pass trough it for access to the two bedrooms with the 90 cm beds. OK for a family with kids, but perhaps not for a couple who wants privacy. There is a large bathroom with shower cabin/washbasin/toilet, heated floor, and storage space.
Guest Access
2 floors, staircase access from ground to 1st floor, not suitable for wheelchair. ON ground floor there is the main entrance door and an additional door for direct access to the garden and terrace.
