General Overview
PLEASE NOTE: We will move into this house at the end of 2025. Some interior changes are taking place. New photos of bedrooms, living room and kitchen will follow as soon as we have moved.
Our detached family home is located in the charming village of Hippolytushoef, on the former island of Wieringen. Surrounded by sea, nature and cycling routes, this is a wonderful place for those looking for peace and quiet, yet within easy reach of cities, beaches and the Wadden Sea. The house has a large garden, is sustainable and offers plenty of space for families or couples who want to enjoy the outdoors.
The Space
The house has a bright, spacious living room with patio doors to the garden, an open kitchen, utility room and indoor garage. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a modern bathroom. The surrounding garden has several terraces, a canopy and plenty of privacy. Perfect for outdoor dining, relaxing or playing.

Guest Access
Two floors. Stairs to the first floor with bedrooms and bathroom. Ground floor fully accessible without thresholds.
Notes
We are careful with our home and expect guests to treat it the same. Pets and smoking inside are not allowed.
We are also happy to receive families with children. Because we have two young children ourselves, we can place a baby cot and/or toddler bed if desired and toys are available. If only adults come, we can place double beds in the bedrooms.

We are a young family with two daughters (1 and 3 years old) and we love nature, a quiet environment and a bit of adventure. We have an apartment in Aruba and will soon have a home base in the Netherlands again. We are open to exchange with like-minded people who value a well-maintained home, meaningful connections, and discovering new places. We treat other people's homes with care and welcome guests as we would with friends.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
