General Overview
Our home is a cosy and bright family friendly flat with a freshly renovated sunny decked garden which is lovely in the summer. One double bedroom and one bedroom set up for two young children (current beds would fit up to 8 years old) and a lovely open plan living space with a well equipped and characterful kitchen. There is a sofa in the living room which works well as a single bed too if you need an extra space to sleep. We are very well equipped with children’s toys and books for children and adults.
The Space
We’ve got a small but cosy space on a quiet street which is in a buzzy neighbourhood. Loads of toys and books for younger children and books for adults too. I’m a big reader. In the summer the garden is great to have and chill out in.
Guest Access
There are three flats in our building. Ours is the ground floor and our front door is just as you come in. The residents of the other flats above won’t disturb you.

Neighbourhood
Our flat is on a quiet street in a very buzzy neighbourhood, Green Lanes is awash with yummy places to eat, Turkish restaurants, lovely coffee shops and a delicious bakery, as well as some nice cocktail bars mere seconds away. There are several parks nearby too with excellent playgrounds if you’re travelling with children. Central London and all the sightseeing is very accessible from us, there’s a bus stop 5 seconds walk that will take you in three different directions to central London and Manor House tube stop is about 15 mins walk away.
Getting to my home
From Heathrow airport you can travel directly on the Piccadilly line to Manor House.
From Gatwick you’d take the train to St Pancras and then a short tube ride.
From Stansted, you can take the train to Tottenham Hale and then catch the bus.
Nearest airport
As described above. I’d allow at least an hour’s travel from any of London’s airport
Getting Around
There are loads of delicious food shops
On our doorstep and some are open 24 hours. Pubs and cafes and restaurants are all walkable and nice. Lots of green spaces too. If you’re keen on exploring Hampstead Heath that is just 8 mins away on the overground and then you can spill into the famous Camden Market. We are north-east London, on the edge of Islington / Hackney / Camden so lots to explore but very easy to get central and go to all
The sightseeing and museums. If you want to go to famous museums like natural history and Victoria and Albert, we are on the right tube line for that.

Hello! I am a solo parent living in London with my almost 6 year old boy/ girl twins. I work as an National Health Service midwife, massage therapist and birth educator. My twins are good little travellers and we are really excited to join this network and discover new places and offer up our home in London as a swap. Life with baby twins in the pandemic ground me to a bit of a halt in 2020 and I am making up for it now, we travel whenever we can! We love travelling around the UK on school holidays as well as hopping on a plane. Always keen to escape city life and explore more rural places but open to anything.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet.
