General Overview

Our home is located within walking distance of the beautiful Lake Wörthersee. We enjoy our small, cozy yard with a gently flowing stream. The apartment is bright and sunny with a south-facing exposure, which makes it very welcoming. Plus, the nearby mountains are easily accessible, and thanks to our location near the border, the seaside is also within reach.

The Space

Our home is on the first floor and offers a bright, spacious living area with an open layout combining the living room, dining area, and kitchen. It faces south, so there’s plenty of natural light throughout the day. The interior is mostly minimalist, with a few large indoor plants adding a fresh, calming atmosphere. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with a king size bed. We have one full bathroom (shower, bathtub, toilet, and sink) and an additional half bathroom (toilet and sink), which can be especially convenient for families. Outside, there’s a small garden with a table and four chairs, perfect for eating outside or relaxing. Guests are welcome to use our stand-up paddleboard, bicycles, a sled (in winter), and there’s also a grill available. It’s a comfortable and peaceful space, ideal for couples or small families who enjoy both relaxing at home and spending time outdoors.

Guest Access

Our apartment is on the first floor (one flight of stairs, no elevator). Guests will have access to the entire apartment, including both bedrooms, the kitchen, living/dining area, bathrooms, balcony, and the small garden space. Bicycles, the stand-up paddleboard, the grill, and other outdoor equipment are also available for guests to use.

Neighbourhood

Our home is located in a quiet residential area within walking distance of the beautiful Lake Wörthersee — perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, or peaceful lakeside walks during the warmer months. Supermarkets and essentials are easily reachable on foot. We're based in Carinthia, often called “the land of lakes” — and it truly lives up to its name. Besides Wörthersee, there are many other stunning lakes nearby, such as Weissensee, Ossiacher See, Millstätter See, and Faaker See — all ideal for day trips, swimming, hiking, or simply relaxing in nature. It’s also a perfect location for exploring the outdoors: In summer, you can enjoy hiking, cycling, and mountain adventures, In winter, nearby mountains offer skiing, snowboarding, and sledding. Thanks to our proximity to the borders, both Italy (e.g. Udine, Venice) and Slovenia (e.g. Lake Bled, Triglav National Park) are within easy reach — ideal for spontaneous day trips or weekend getaways.

Getting to my home

The easiest way to reach us is by car, so we recommend either driving or renting a car for the most flexibility — especially if you’d like to explore the beautiful lakes and mountains nearby. The closest airport is in Klagenfurt, just a short drive away. However, we're also easily reachable from Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Vienna (Austria) — both have international airports with good connections and car rental options. While there is some public transportation available, it's not ideal for exploring the area in depth. If you plan to visit nearby lakes, go hiking, or take day trips, having a car will make your stay much more flexible and enjoyable.
