General Overview
Welcome to our bright and spacious end-of-terrace home, designed with family, comfort and relaxation in mind. With three generously sized double-bedrooms (2 with king beds), a dedicated TV/playroom, and a separate adults’ lounge with a cosy log burner, there’s plenty of space for families, friends, or couples to unwind in their own way.
The kitchen offers casual stool seating for quick bites, or settle in around the dining table for a more leisurely meal together.
You’ll find a family bathroom downstairs with a combined bath and shower, plus a convenient WC upstairs—ideal for busy mornings.
Step outside to enjoy our low-maintenance garden, perfect for sipping coffee even after a classic bit of Welsh rain—no muddy shoes required! In summer, help yourself to a sweet treat from the strawberry plants, or pick fresh cucumbers, carrots, and tomatoes straight from the garden.
Despite the peaceful, homely feel, we’re just a short stroll from Caerphilly’s bustling high street, charming coffee shops, and local markets. The iconic Caerphilly Castle—Britain’s second-largest—is right on your doorstep, along with exciting events like The Big Cheese Festival.

Sara's home is in the lovely town of Caerphilly, famous for its castle! There are so many lovely walks, trails and mountain bike routes to do within a ten min drive. There was private parking making it easy to get in/out, and Sara's home is so cosy, we loved the fireplace!
Thank you Sara so much for letting us stay!
Sara left our flat exactly as she found it! She looked after it as if it was her own home and we're so grateful. We'd welcome her back anytime!
We had the most fabulous few nights in Sitara and Josh’s flat. It is perfectly located, between large green spaces, a tube station and the children’s V&A museum.
The flat was exactly as described and pictured. Bed was very comfortable, and we had everything we need to cook for our stay.
Parking was right outside the flat - Sitara kindly sorted our permit.
Sitara and Josh were quick to reply to any questions and left us a fabulous guide of local “to-dos” , which came in very handy. They also left our house spotless, and we wouldn’t hesitate to welcome them back to Wales again.

Bore Da! Hi! We are a family of 3! Kyle, Sara and 3-year old Oscar.
Pre-Oscar, Kyle and I were very fortunate to travel off-the-beaten track, and stay with local-like minded families, and now we don't need to carry as much "kid stuff" (seriously!) we are ready to take Oscar on more adventures outside of a typical kids holiday!
Kyle (Welsh) works in film and television (behind the scenes!) and I (English.. just don't tell my in-laws) am a women's health physiotherapist. Oscar is a dinosaur and monster truck enthusiast.
We love being outdoors, in the mountains or on the dunes, hunting for T-rex. We haven't had the privilege of hosting yet - and our previous stays have always been turn up in a village and find a friendly, family-run host kind of adventure! But we're excited to get exploring!
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
The 2nd largest castle in the UK, and Wales greatest fortress. She even has a tower that leans more precariously than PISA! She's situated in town, surrounded by rolling hills and all within walking distance from the house.
Our slice of heaven. Plenty of kids toys and paddling pool if the weather allows!
Adults retreat. Log-burner and comfortable solitude, separate from the chaos of the play room! You are welcome to help yourself to our wood and lighters!
TV Room, affectionately called the "Play room" by our son! He even has his own (electric!) fire!
An assortment of kid friendly supplies in the playroom/ TV room! Trains and Track, Monster trucks, remote control cars, BOOKS!, magnetic tiles, more dinosaurs!
Just some of the toys! Arts and Crafts, Building and Board games, Play-dough, car/dinosaur/animal themed toys.
Dining table. We have 4 further foldaway chairs if more seating is required. Can sit a cosy 6! Anymore and you may be sharing plates!
Upstairs toilet and sink.
Third bedroom. Rear of house. Clothes storage out of sight.
Master bedroom. At the front of the house overlooking the green space.
Storage is opposite the bed in wardrobes. Full length mirror on wall.
