General Overview
This property offers an incredible escape with breathtaking views, peaceful surroundings, and wide open spaces. Guests can enjoy the mild summer temperatures and a stunning night sky filled with stars. Wildlife sightings are part of the charm—deer often visit to snack on the bushes and trees, and on occasion, javelinas and even a lynx may wander through.
Centrally located in Arizona, it’s a pleasant drive to beautiful spots like Willow Creek Reservoir, Watson Lake, Sedona, Flagstaff and the San Francisco Mtn range, Prescott, the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, and just about 1.5 hours from northern Phoenix. Main activities in the area are Hiking, off roading in ATV's or Jeeps, visiting the national parks, checking out ghost towns and old mines, bar hopping in downtown prescott, pickleball, paddleboarding, kayaking.
Small, clean dogs are welcome, though cats are not allowed due to allergy concerns. If you’re considering a stay with more than two people, just reach out first—clear communication is appreciated.
The Space
At the moment, in the master bedroom, there’s a queen-size bed on the lower level, along with a couch and two bedside tables. Upstairs, just off the living room, there’s an extra-long twin bed and the upstairs is set up like a large open studio, although the full bathroom is private.
I am planning to make some thoughtful upgrades soon including adding a king-size bed downstairs and a nice queen upstairs, as interest grows. It’s a work in progress, with comfort and guest experience at heart.
Notes
If you’re traveling with a horse trailer it’s best not to drive all the way up to the house. Parking below near the barn and walking the short distance up may be a better option in those cases, unless you unhitch.

Neighbourhood
Super views and friendly yet private neighbors who also reside on large acreage, close by is a very unknown trail up to the "Stone House" which some folks say is an old Anasazi ruin (but it's not) although it is almost certain the Anasazi did have a fire signal there. Just over the hill is a very nice golf course (Talking Rock Ranch) 10 minutes away is the safeway grocery store and the best restaurant in town Essence Kitchen. 30 minutes to the lakes, 40 minutes to downtown prescott, (very historic, party animal type of place, lots of bars and restaurants). also 40 minutes to costco, trader joes, walmart, home depot, etc.
Getting to my home
The property is about a 35 minute drive from Prescottfly into major airports like phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, or even Prescott regional airport. or you can drive from anywhere on Interstate 40. from Prescott, go north on 89 to chino valley, turn left at the mcdonalds. about 7-8 minutes of driving will get you there. it can be unnerving at night but siri will get you there (depending on what mood she is in)
a vehicle is mandatory. this is the american west. wide open places and everything is a bit of a drive.

We are a retired couple. Kevin (60) is a retired fire captain (Las Vegas) and Elizabeth (62) is a semi-retired attorney. Our 2 kids are 20+ and independent, although we like to do a family trip either at xmas or during the summer. we do not smoke or vape or use drugs, and rarely drink. I play pickleball, kitesurf, mtn bike, hike, paddleboard and real work if i have time left over. Elilzabeth likes to hike and walk and take Zumba classes. We are very respectful, clean and minimalistic when we travel and we would treat your property with respect.
