General Overview

Gorgeous little Victorian Cottage which is cosy but spacious at the same time. A little sanctuary which is so central and convenient to all amenities, but equally tucked away and peaceful. It's a short 5 minute stroll to the high street where you'll find lots of lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. We're also very close to both Snaresbrook (4 mins walk) and Wanstead (8 min walk) London underground Central line tube stations which take you directly into central London in 25 minutes. Locally, Wanstead Park is a beautiful parkland/forest which forms part of City of London's Epping Forest and is a 15-20 minute walk away from the cottage It has numerous beautiful trails and a little open air cafe within it by one of the lakes.

The Space

There is parking for one small car on the driveway. On the ground floor there is an open plan lounge/dining area with large windows which overlook the wrap-around front garden. The kitchen has all the usual amenities as well as a small table and chairs and looks onto the courtyard. Downstairs there is a small shower room/toilet. Upstairs there are 2 small double bedrooms and one single bedroom. The bedrooms have a little wardrobe and drawer space apart from mine. Guests are welcome to use my room if they prefer, but will need to be aware that it will have all my things in it, so no wardrobe space. The main bathroom is also upstairs.

Guest Access

Guests can stay in any of the 3 bedrooms, but need to be aware that one of the small doubles which is my bedroom will have no wardrobe space. Although the children have left home, they still have some of their things in their bedrooms. but there is still some wardrobe and drawer space available in both rooms. Worth saying that one of the sofas in the lounge is a very comfy sofabed which we've used many times when there's been a few of us at family gatherings and parties.

Neighbourhood

Wanstead is a lovely little leafy jewel within the hustle and bustle of east London. It's so easy to get to all of central London's wonderful attractions and nightlife, but equally lots of lovely pubs and restaurants on your doorstep if you don't fancy venturing too far out.

Getting to my home

Our home is just minutes away from Central Line underground tube line (the red one!) which takes you to central London super-quickly. Nearest tube station is Snaresbrook (4 minute walk away).

Nearest airport

Stansted is 35 minutes by car, or you can get a train from Liverpool Street which takes approx 45 mins. City airport is approximately 40 mins by car or 50 mins using public transport.

Getting Around

We're very close to all shops and amenities.
