General Overview
Bath, part of Midcoast Maine, is a destination,; close to several tourist destinations but also situated in an everyday little city where you will feel like one of the locals.
My home is a garden apartment on the first floor. There are two bedrooms. One is available for guests. The other has an office and will be locked during your stay.
My son, his wife, and their daughter live upstairs. She can be busy learning to walk so a noise machine is in the bedroom for light sleepers. The house is surrounded by gardens: a vegetable garden, terraced floral garden, cutting garden with views from the bedroom, and we will begin a woodland wonderland this Fall.
The house is near the end of a dead end street which runs along the Kennebec River. There are multiple trail systems within walking distance of our home and many more within a short drive.
We are a lovely 2 mile-walk (2 minute drive) into historic Bath where you can access our Patten Library, choice of coffee spots, bookstores, and other fun little shops.
The Space
Parking just in front of the house. Direct entry into the home- no stairs. Mudroom area for hanging jackets and taking off shoes.
The eat in kitchen has ample countertops for meal prep. There is a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher.
The living room has a large sofa and tv with some streaming services but no cable.
A large bathroom with vanity, shower, washer/dryer and laundry supplies. * Please note: the shower is a single stall with a step up into the shower.
The guest bedroom has a queen sized bed with a table on each side, a bureau, and large closet. There is not a tv in the bedroom..
If traveling with a child. we have a pack and play for sleeping and sheets to make up the couch for a short twin sized bed.
Outside, the house is surrounded by gardens and woods making it a peaceful place to spend a day..
Guest Access
Guests will have their own private door to access the unit. My family lives on the second floor so the home is always secure.
Notes
1. I am asthmatic- absolutely NO smoking in the unit or on the property.
2. A child and dog live upstairs and while they will be respectful, there will be some noise. A noise machine in the bedroom can be used.
3. Wednesday night is trash night. Trash will be collected from you. You need not worry about managing it.
