General Overview

We have a large family home with 5 bedrooms singles, open plan lounge/kitchen and large outside area with a large verandah, adventure playground, 2 extra large trampolines and loads of various fruit trees. This property is about as kid friendly as you will get. So much for the kids to do inside and outside, it would make for quite an enjoyable break for families, however groups and couples are more than welcome also. Ideally, the times I'd like to travel would overlap most of school holiday time, with some out of school time ok. Therefore early July for approx 3-4 weeks or January are ideal for international and 2 weeks around April and again in October would be ideal within Australia. I would happily consider use of my 7-8 seater car with a simulatneous swap. If this sounds like something you'd like to consider, please reach out.

The Space

We have a large family home with 5 bedrooms (5th bedroom is currently being used as an art and craft room for the kids). Main bedroom has king size bed, walk in robes and ensuite with shower/toilet/sink. The 2 boys children's room have a double and a queen size bed, each with a TV and built in robe. The 4th double bedroom has 2x king singles and extra large built in robe. The open plan lounge/kitchen has a large sofa which is also a fold out double bed. There is a barista coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and oven for your use. The outside area is a large split level space with a large verandah with electric roller screens for shade if required. The playground consists of a large adventure ninja playground which is a 'Funky Monkey', plus 2 extra large trampolines and loads of various fruit trees. This property is about as kid friendly as you will get. So much for the kids to do inside and outside, it would make for quite an enjoyable break for families, however groups and couples are more than welcome also.

Neighbourhood

The location: 2 minute drive to the closest beach, with several more beaches (including drive on beaches) within a very short drive. These beaches are to be seen to be believed, they are stunning! I'd be happy to send photos if youd like. We are also a 5 minute drive from the world renowned McLaren Vale wine region "Where the Vines meet the Sea". Particularly famous for its full bodied Shiraz variety. I recommend following the famous 'Shiraz trail'. The property is also about a 30-minute drive from the picturesque Adelaide Hills with more wineries which are famous for cooler climate white wine varieties and many types of fruit, including pick your own experiences. We are a 5 minute walk from the train station that will take you to the heart of Adelaide in 45 minutes (or less if you get an express train). We are a 30 minute drive from the beautiful tourist town of Victor Harbour. Urumbirra Wildlife sanctuary is also about a 30 minute drive. We are a 15 minute walk from the beautiful Onkaparinga River where you can stand up paddleboard, take a kayak down the river to the sea, visit the river mouth (the kids love floating down the river on their body boards out to the sea-and so do I!), and lots more adventures at your doorstep. A 20 minute drive from Kuitpo Forest, including a tree climb adventure for kids with a kids course or grand course, booked horse riding tours, or just walk through the many trails and explore its beauty. Lots of different walking trails for all levels and hikes around here. We are about 20 minutes from the vibrant seaside town of Glenelg. The world famous Barossa Valley is about a 1.5 hour drive (however we prefer McLaren Vale).

Getting to my home

For international flights, we are about a 30 minute drive from Adelaide airport. Within Australia, we are located about 30 minutes south of Adelaide city and 5 minutes from McLaren Vale.

Nearest airport

Adelaide airport. Approx 30 minute drive.

Getting Around

I would happily consider the use of my 7-8 seater car with a simultaneous swap. We have a beach about 30 minute walk away, a river and walking trails about 15 minute walk away, some industrial shops about a 5 minute walk away (gym/camping store/petrol station/convenience shop) or a shopping centre with supermarkets and specialty stores about a 25 minute walk away. Seaford Meadows train station is a 5 minute walk away, in which you can take the Noarlunga line to Adelaide city in about 40 minutes. Or you can catch the train and get of at Goodwood for a connecting tram to the picturesque seaside town of Glenelg (our Southern beaches are far more spectacular, however Glenelg is known for its vibrant seaside charm).
