General Overview

A modern apartment with a surprisingly spacious layout. It's perfect for lake mornings, biking, hiking and spontaneous adventures. It's just a short stroll from Lugano’s vibrant old town, charming cafés, restaurants, shops, and the sparkling lakefront. The area is a great mix of local life and easy access to all the best sights.

The Space

Our home has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living room that is open and light-filled, with comfy seating and big windows that let the sunshine pour in. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to whip up a delicious home-cooked meal—or just enjoy a lazy breakfast. A cozy balcony overlooks the neighborhood, perfect for people-watching and soaking up the atmosphere.

Guest Access

Our apartment is in a secure building and easily accessed either by elevator or a comfortable walk up two flights of stairs. Once inside, everything is on one level, making it simple and convenient to navigate throughout the space.

It’s a perfect spot for couples, solo adventurers, or fellow adventures. We're always happy to offer local tips, share our bicycles and suggest hikes, or hidden swimming spots!

Neighbourhood

The neighbourhood (Molino Nuovo) is a mix of residential buildings, schools, a university, small businesses, shops, and parks. It’s known for being a diverse, lively, and urban area, popular with families, students, and professionals. Bar Pinard (Piazza Molino Nuovo 5): A popular wine bar featuring a wide selection of natural wines from across Europe, perfect for a relaxed aperitivo in the square. Bar Oops (Corso Elvezia 37): A casual, lively neighbourhood bar with long opening hours and a down‑to‑earth vibe. Great spot for watching sporting events. Migros M Lugano (Via Monte Boglia 5): A full-service Migros store with fresh produce. It's one of the few supermarkets open Sunday 08:00–19:00, and weekdays 07:30–19:00, Saturdays until 18:30 There are multiple grocery stores within walking distance, plus beautiful green spaces for walking or reading under the trees in the park.

Getting to my home

Lugano is easy to reach by train from Zurich, Milan, or beyond. If you're flying, Milan Malpensa is the closest major airport (just over an hour away by car or hour and a half by train), while Zurich Airport offers great connections too. From Lugano train station, it’s a quick 5 minute bus ride or a pleasant walk (about 15 minutes) to reach our apartment.

Getting Around

We’re in a prime location—just 15 minutes on foot to the lake, through the old town, and steps from local bus stops that can take you anywhere in the city. You honestly don’t need a car here; everything is walkable, scenic, and well-connected by public transport. Plus, exploring by foot or bike is the best way to soak in the beauty of Lugano!
