Neighbourhood
Everything! 10 mins walk in every direction to a variety of cafes, shops, amenities, restaurants, bus stops and train stations. Also swimming pools, independent cinemas in West Norwood and Crystal Palace, and parks everywhere - Streatham Common is 7 mins walk and Crystal Palace park is 10 min bus ride away.
A very family friendly neighbourhood with various primary schools and playgrounds nearby. Easy access to central London and out into Surrey.
Brixton is close by for those looking for some multicultural vibrant nightlife and culture, and amazing food.
This is very much "real" London - diverse and friendly and full of families, singles, young and old alike. Classic multicultural South London, and we love living here.

There's a bus stop at the end of our road which takes you to Clapham and Crystal Palace in the other direction.
Plenty of buses going from Streatham and West Norwood, taking you round South London and beyond.
Small convenience shop for essentials is 2 mins walk away. Otherwise a 10 minute walk to West Norwood for small supermarkets, bakery, butchers, library, cinema, swimming pool, cafes, pubs, other amenities.

Olivia
Hi, we're a family of 4 - Olivia, Bruce and two children (7 and 2). We live in London, although Bruce is originally from New York!
We live in a beautiful old house in a green, family friendly part of South London that has a great community spirit and quick links to the centre. We've got a lovely garden full of roses and fruit trees, and a cat who would need looking after during your stay.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
