General Overview
A family friendly four bedroom home nestled in the heart of a vibrant Cotswolds village, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are situated in the perfect location to explore the great outdoors.
We have multiple relaxing areas (our cosy Snug and elegant Family Room), a dedicated children’s playroom, an internal open air courtyard for private outdoor dining, and a beautiful English garden with additional outdoor dining and seating spaces.
The Space
Our living space is modern traditional in style. We’ve been renovating since we moved in and we’ve created a home we’re so proud of.
Our family room is a beautiful light filled room at the back of the house over looking the garden, mostly filled by a huge sofa (couch) that’s extra deep for ultimate relaxation. We provide puzzles and games for those wanting a slow morning or a cosy night in. We love sitting here on a Sunday morning with a fresh coffee, the double doors open letting the fresh air breeze past gently.
In our cosy snug is a wood burning fireplace, with recliner sofa and library shelves which you’re welcome to browse and borrow books from. This room too has French double doors out to the garden.
The playroom is full of games, puzzles, toys, dressing up - please let your little ones enjoy to their hearts content!
Our kitchen dining room at the front of the house is the perfect family meal space. With a dining table to seat six and a breakfast bar to seat two, there’s space for everyone. Our bean-to-cup Sage coffee machine is probably the most used appliance in the house!
Our bedrooms include:
- 1 master bedroom with ensuite bathroom
- 2 x single bed bedrooms
- 1 x guest bedroom with a bed that can be either one large double or two singles, just let us know what you prefer.
Guest Access
We are a single story property with a single step entrance.
Notes
We currently have five silkie chickens, much loved by our children. You’re very welcome to the fresh eggs they lay during your stay. If you stay for more than a few nights and can top up their water for us that would be great, but if you’d rather not have any responsibilities on your trip we can arrange for this to be discreetly taken care of without interrupting your stay.

Neighbourhood
Our beautiful Cotswold village is home to a community-owned pub (yes the villagers bought the pub to save it from closing forever and it made international news!), a cricket pitch, a children’s play park (which you can access almost directly from our back gate), a village shop, and a library.
There are a number of beautiful walking and cycling routes directly from our doorstep as we’re surrounded by farmland and countryside. It’s a very walkable neighbourhood and you’re always greeted with a friendly “hello” from villagers you may pass.
We’re just a couple miles from attractions such as the UNESCO world heritage site Blenheim Palace and the historic town of Woodstock. Further afield other Cotswold villages and towns are just a short drive - we’re very happy to help plan an itinerary for you if you’d like based on your interests.
You can also catch a 1 hour train direct into London from Hanborough or Charlbury Station, just a few miles away.
Nearest airport
London Heathrow, about an hour’s drive traffic depending.
Getting Around
You will need to hire a car to make the most of this beautiful location. There are so many lovely independent coffee shops, restaurants and other places to visit a short drive away. Go explore, eat, walk, browse and enjoy, then retreat to your rural village escape.

Hello! We’re a family of four living in The Cotswolds UK, about an hour from London.
We have a beautiful home nestled in the heart of the English Countryside. Our picturesque village has a village shop, a community-owned pub, a 12th century church, and a great park and cricket pitch where families are always welcome.
We’re just a few miles from attractions such as the UNESCO world heritage site Blenheim Palace and the historic town of Woodstock. Depart from a local train station for a 1 hour train direct into London.
We’re open to travel destinations but Southern California has a special place in our heart as we have family there we’d love to see more often than we can today.
"As we have school age children we will need to travel during UK School Holiday dates. Please see our calendar for general availability but we have a little flexibility if required, so do reach out."
