Getting Around

Restaurants and beaches a 10-15 minute drive by car. The property sits on a 2 acre lot with fruit trees, plumeria trees, banyan trees, and has a gorgeous wrap around deck with ocean and mountain views. We have all the snorkel, surf, SUP, beach gear, and towels you will ever need. It’s 15 minutes from the sandy turquoise, clear water beaches of Mauna Kea and Waikoloa (Hapuna, and A Bay, for example) and 15 from Waimea for 65~75 year round with amazing coffee, hikes, and green mountains. 30 minutes to Waipio, which looks similar to the Napali Coast but requires local access (us), an hour to the waterfalls on the eastern side, and a couple hours to the Volcanoes National Park, which is a bucket list experience! Another bucket list experience is snorkeling with the manta rays and you can’t miss snorkeling the reef that inspired Finding Nemo! See the stars or sunrise from Mauna Kea, snorkel with turtles/honus everywhere, surf at Drew’s favorite breaks, or hike in Waimea! There’s spas, relaxation, shopping, manta viewing, and sunshine almost every day of the year in Waikoloa (10 minutes away)!

Ashley

We are an adventurous worldschooling family of 5, based in Hawai’i, USA. We have visited many countries with the kids and hope to keep exploring! At the top of the list is Japan this year. But also always interested in other Hawaiian Islands, New Zealand, Fiji, Tahití, Somoa, South Pacific, Australia. We are open to explore so please don’t hesitate to ask! We prefer surf and diving and snorkeling to be accessible :) Aloha!
