Neighbourhood
Råsunda is right at the edge of Stockholm, close enough to all the attractions but far away enough from tourists. It still has a city feel, being close to the national arena and largest mall in the Nordics.
It also has the rare combination of having buses right into the city just down the block, a quick walk away from the commuter train and trams, and a few minutes to the metro. The commuter train takes you to and from the airport in under an hour.
But it's also a historic area, close to the first film studio in Sweden which has now been preserved and is still showing films. The area has old European charm but with a modern feel. The apartment is a short walk to lovely local cafes and bakeries.
You are never more than 10 mins away (walk, cycle, bus or train) from a body of water, either to swim in or soak up the environment.
Did you also know: Stockholm has one of the highest concentrations of museums per capita in the world? Highly recommend Skansen (open air museum and zoo with nordic animals), Moderna Museet, Fotografiska, Nordiska, and the Nobel museum in Gamla Stan (Old Town). All of these are around 30 mins away by public transport.
Getting to my home
From the airport you can take the commuter train (pendeltåg) straight to the apartment in under an hour. Get off from Solna station and take a 5 minute walk to the apartment.
You can also take a cab, which takes you about half an hour without traffic - that costs about 400sek with Uber or 700+ sek if you hail a cab from the taxi stand.

Getting Around
There are 3 grocery stores within walking distance, and the biggest mall in Scandinavia is 5 mins walking distance.
