Getting Around

There is a train station 1.5km walk from the house. There are 3 older bicycles (for trips to the train station or to walk starting point), 2 children steps and a children's bicycle that can be used for short trips if desired. They are no bikes for long-distance rides. There are 2 bus stop at the end of the street. One busstop is a direct line to Amsterdam zuid station takes 30min. And it stops 2 times per hour. It's also the bus to a central busstop (10min) to get a bus in other directions like Almere, Huizen and other stations in Amsterdam. The other busstop is direct line to Weesp and the train station Naarden/Bussum. It has a stop at Muiderslot. It departes every hour.

  • We had a wonderful exchange with Tamara and her family. From the very beginning, communication was smooth, clear, and pleasant, which made the whole experience stress-free. We truly enjoyed staying in their home and exploring the area. There is so much to do nearby - we took several trips to Amsterdam, Gouda, and other places, and Naarden itself is a lovely town that’s well worth exploring. It was a great base for both day trips and relaxed local time over Christmas. The house was very comfortable and equipped with everything you might need. Our kids especially loved all the toys, which made them feel right at home straight away. Overall, it was a fantastic exchange, and we would happily recommend Tamara’s home to other exchangers.

  • Tamara's home is the perfect base for exploring this part of the Netherlands. Only 20 minutes by train to both Amsterdam and Utrecht, yet in a smaller town with free street parking and beautiful nature reserves closeby. The home is spacious with everything you need for a family. The upstairs master bedroom with ensuite bathroom is brand new, big and tastefully done. Communication with Tamara was a blast. Always quick to response and happy to help us having a comfortable stay. Please don't hesitate for an exchange with this lovely family.
