We’re down-to-earth people living in a small, intentional community. Our home is part of a shared property with two other families, all connected through our Waldorf community. Between us, we have a gaggle of happy kids who flow freely between the homes — playing, exploring, and creating together.
We’re about an hour from the beach, up in the cooler hills where rivers meander through the land. One of our favorite places is a sweet little swimming hole just a short walk or drive away. The area is quiet, peaceful, and alive with nature. At night, the coquis sing and bullfrogs serenade us — a beautiful soundscape that gently settles you into the evening.
This is not a gated community — it’s a shared living space we chose with intention. We all met and bought this property together, and we’re learning how to live in harmony — sharing resources like water, a dryer, carpools, lawn equipment, veggies from the garden, or even just a pinch of salt and pepper. We offer what feels supportive to one another.
Our home is new to us, and we’re constantly working on it — creating and evolving the space as we live in it. We’re slowly making it more comfortable for our family and for future guests. It’s a work in progress, full of love and intention.
We don’t have backup generators at the moment, but we do have a battery pack that helps us stay connected online when needed — especially for internet use during outages.
One of my favorite parts of the house is the garden and outdoor space. I love sitting in the living room with the French doors open wide — welcoming the breeze, the sound of kids, or the rhythm of the rain. From the couch, I can watch it pour outside while staying dry and cozy. On clear nights, I sit under the stars — there’s no light pollution here, just a sky full of wonder.
And of course, I absolutely love walking outside to snip fresh herbs or search for a hidden pumpkin in the garden. These little joys make this place feel truly alive.

Hi Everyone
I definitely belong to this community. I am so thrilled to find you. I recently shared with my friend that I need to create a community home exchange based on connection and mutuality. Bam! People Like Us. I am a wife, teacher, mom of two, a dog and we are from Atlanta but moved to Puerto Rico 3 years ago this August. I absolutely love connecting with people and it is my calling in this life. I am thrilled to be here in this space created by and for like minded people.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
