The Space

Your Home Away From Home A Historic, Comfortable, and Allergy Friendly Space Your stay is in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite located on the first floor of a vintage 1926 condominium building—the first apartment building ever constructed in London, Ontario, built by Hayman Construction. It was converted into modern condominiums in the late 1980s. The building is surrounded by gardens and pathways offering both sunny and shady spots. A large private balcony overlooks a lively downtown streetscape. The home is scent free and chemical free, cleaned exclusively with Enjo products. Due to environmental allergies, air filters are located in both the living room and primary bedroom. Interior Features • Fully equipped kitchen with all conveniences for cooking and dining. • Two private bedrooms, each with its own attached bathroom. o Primary bedroom: marble and slate walk in shower. o Second bedroom: tub/shower combination, plus a double Murphy bed. • Second bedroom doubles as a home office, with a smart TV, streaming services, DVD player, and a collection of DVDs. • Warm, comfortable living area with a smart TV, and a variety of board games.

Guest Access

My home is located on the ground floor of the complex with no stairs to impede access. My unit is one floor.

Notes

My building and all the Owner Units are non-smoking. There is free visitor parking for guests. You will be provided with a parking pass to display in your vehicle window. There is an Enterprise Car Rental office just three blocks from my home. There are 2 BlueAir air filters in my home that can be moved from room to room as needed. My home is as scent and allergen free as possible.

Getting to my home

London Ontario is located mid-way between international airports in Toronto Canada and Detroit United States. Major 4-lane highways provide access to London from both airports. The city of London also has a smaller airport providing services to Air Canada, Westjet and some smaller airlines. There is also excellent bus service between both airports and VIA Rail also provides train service between Toronto and London. Car rentals are available at the airport and free guest parking is available at my home.

Nearest airport

Locally, London International Airport (XYU) is serviced by Westjet and Air Canada. Toronto International Airport (YYZ) is to the east and 2 hours away. Detroit International Airport (DTW) is the same distance to the west.

Getting Around

Once you are at my home you will find yourself in the centre of the city. The main bus route hubs are all located within 1-2 blocks of my home. Taxi and Uber are available and driving is easy if you have a car.

Susan

I am a happily retired hospital foundation executive with two adult children and two grandchildren. I retired in December of 2024 and now that I have adjusted to my new life I am excited to travel the world. My daughter lives in Scotland and my son and his family live nearby so I can visit them often. I love my home and have spent many years making it comfortable with all the modern conveniences. I am an active member of our condominium board of directors. I enjoy volunteering at the nearby London Public Library and the adjacent Wolf Performance Centre. I enjoy all kinds of crafting and making and current busy using up my stash of yarn. I live in the Woodfield Historical district of London with local transit options such as bus and train being steps away. London has an international airport and the airports in Toronto and Detroit are each two hours away. I have one underground parking space available. Western University, Fanshawe College and major hospitals are all on main bus routes. There are many different dining and entertainment options within the vicinity including on Richmond Row.
