General Overview

My two bedroom, two bathroom suite is located on the first floor of a vintage condominium building that was built in 1926. This building was the first apartment building in London Ontario and built by Hayman Construction of London. It was converted to modern condominiums in the late 1980s. The complex is surrounded by outdoor areas with gardens and pathways where you will find both sunny and shady spots depending on your choice. My large balcony looks out onto a busy downtown streetscape. My home is scent and chemical free and I clean using a product known as Enjo. As I have environmental allergies there are air filters in both the living room and main bedroom. My home has a fully equipped kitchen with all the conveniences. Two bedrooms each have an attached private bathroom. The primary bedroom has a marble and slate walk in shower. The second bedroom has a tub and shower combination. The second bedroom served as my home office and can be used as such for any visit. It contains a double size Murphy bed and a smart TV with streaming channels, A DVD player and lots of DVDs. The living area is warm and comfortable with a working fireplace. A smart TV with streaming services is available and there are many board games available as well. Western University and Fanshawe College campuses are nearby. London is the first Canadian UNESCO Music World Heritage site. We have many music and theatre venues all within a 3-4 block area. The Canada Life Centre with Junior A hockey and professional basketball teams is just 4 blocks away. Lake Erie is a 45 minute drive south and Lake Huron is a one hour drive north....both feature resorts, lake posts, beaches, restaurants and great scenery. International airports are a 2 hour drive or train to Toronto in the East, and Detroit in the West.

Susan

I am a happily retired hospital foundation executive with two adult children and two grandchildren. I retired in December of 2024 and now that I have adjusted to my new life I am excited to travel the world. My daughter lives in Scotland and my son and his family live nearby so I can visit them often. I love my home and have spent many years making it comfortable with all the modern conveniences. I am an active member of our condominium board of directors. I enjoy volunteering at the nearby London Public Library and the adjacent Wolf Performance Centre. I enjoy all kinds of crafting and making and current busy using up my stash of yarn. I live in the Woodfield Historical district of London with local transit options such as bus and train being steps away. London has an international airport and the airports in Toronto and Detroit are each two hours away. I have one underground parking space available. Western University, Fanshawe College and major hospitals are all on main bus routes. There are many different dining and entertainment options within the vicinity including on Richmond Row.
