General Overview
The house is an old barracks from 1890. It is monumental and the façade is beautiful with rococo style. In the First and Second World Wars, this home served as a base for the soldiers where they had their training in the adjacent park and the surrounding forests. We bought it 3 years ago and renovated it ourselves to our own wishes and style. The style is modern with art but with the classic character of an old beautiful mansion.
The Space
The living room has beautiful and natural light from morning to afternoon. We love to cook so the kitchen is equipped with all the equipment needed to prepare a tasty dish. For my work as a flight attendant, I fly around the world and like to pass on my experiences and tips to people.
Guest Access
The house has 2 floors with stairs. Unfortunately, not accessible to people with disabilities or pets (due to allergies).
Notes
2 floors. The ground floor is a sofa bed where 2 adults can sleep. Guests from Germany regularly sleep here, it is quiet and a beautiful space. On the first floor is our kitchen and living room. The second floor is where we have our sleeping area and bathroom. The house is equipped with 2 toilets. One upstairs and one downstairs.

Neighbourhood
Two forests and a dune area. A beautiful, quiet swimming pool (50 meters pool) located in the forest (the most beautiful I have seen in my life). In addition, of course, a more name: Henschotermeer. The wooded area is ideal for cycling, mountain biking, running, horseback riding and swimming.
Getting to my home
From Amersfoort Central Station (the most central train station in the Netherlands) it is a 12-minute walk. We have 3 bicycles in the shed. Of which one men's bike and 2 women's bikes. From Amersfoort Central Station it is 15 minutes to Utrecht Central Station by train. To Amsterdam, the journey takes 30 minutes. By car it is a maximum of 1.5 hours from each side of the country (because it is so central).
Nearest airport
Schiphol. An ideal direct connection of 40 minutes by train. Few stops (4 total). By car, it takes 45 minutes by car.
Getting Around
Walking distance to the city center of Amersfoort is 15 minutes walk.

Nice to meet you. We are new to this platform. My name is Safiera Kho and I have a Dutch/Indonesian background. My partner is German and we live partly in Berlin and Amersfoort. For my work as a flight attendant, I travel all over the world. I am curious, open minded and polite. I like to meet other cultures and am curious about the lifestyle of the local people.
