General Overview

Our house is 15 minutes walk from the city center of Dinan with it's medieval streets and a castle. There il also a small charming village 5 minutes away, with a beautiful abbey and a cafe with live music and exhibitions during the summer. There is also an open air swimming pool near the abbey with a great view and not crowded at all even in the summer. The Rance river is 5 minutes away and you can row down to the port of the city if you like The house has a garden and a small greenhouse and you can pick up the vegetables during your stay (and water them as well). We have two kids 6 and 9 years old so there is plenty of toys. We don't have a TV but a beamer if you want to watch some movies. There are two pianos (electric) We have some bicycles, a longtail bike, a table tennis table, an inflatable kayak that you can use. The garden is big enough for the kids to play and there is a treehouse as well. The surroundings are very charming with pedestrian roads and hikes. We have a cat as well.

The Space

Our house is quite comfortable, with 4 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 5 people. There are two bathrooms. The living room opens up to a terrace and the garden. No air conditioning. The cat doesn't like to travel... You can use some of the bicycles if we haven't brought them with us.

A bakery and a butcher 2 minutes away. A market with organic produce on saturday as well.

Getting to my home

From the UK by ferry to Saint Malo which is half an hour away from Dinan. Otherwise by plane or train up to Rennes and then by bus (1 hour) to Dinan.

Getting Around

By foot by bike or by car. There is a free bus every hour 1 minute away that brings you downtown in a couple of minutes. 15 minutes walk from the city center. It's quite steep so you have some stairs to climb.
