Neighbourhood

There's a strong sense of community and we love living here in Fairview, which is also where I grew up. Asheville itself is the main attraction for most visitors, as it hosts great numbers of tourists every season. Some come to visit the historic Biltmore House, others for the city's nationally recognized restaurant and brewery scenes. Here's a guide to what's happening around town: https://www.exploreasheville.com/ Beyond downtown are a world of outdoor activities-- hiking, driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway, mountain biking, kayaking, etc. or just enjoying the natural beauty of this charming little mountain town.

Nearest airport

It's a 25 minute drive from AVL airport. GSP is one hour away, Charlotte is 2 hours.

Getting Around

You'll need a car. Asheville has so much going on! I won't try to list everything that is great about it, but am happy to share advice and recommendations on things to do, places to eat, etc.

We're a well-traveled family of three (early 50s, with a teenager) interested in sharing our home so that others can visit Asheville, NC, one of the coolest towns in America! We're new to the world of home-swapping and looking forward to meeting some new friends and having a few adventures.
