Neighbourhood

Just across the street is a lively little restaurant with delicious "tajines" and "bricks". We're very close to the hipster charm of Canal St. Martin, lined with loads of restaurants, cafes, etc. A beautiful little park is just around the corner, with a playground and nice greenery, and another park is located just on the other side of the train station (Gare de l'Est) with a lovely community garden and frequent entertainment (Irish music orchestra, street art shows). All of Paris is at your doorstep, with the many metro and bus lines housed at the two nearby train stations. Enjoy a busy day of sightseeing and then when you're tired, rest assured that you can be home quickly from wherever you are. There are also several small nearby grocery stores to keep you stocked up on food and other needs, as well as the beautiful, lively Saint Quentin market just a few streets over if you'd like fresh veggies, artisan cheese, fish, etc.

Nearest airport

Charles de Gaulle Airport or Orly Airport

Getting around

The central location between two train stations makes for ultra-easy and fast transport by bus or metro (as well as long-distance trains to and from the east and the north). There are also several nearby bikeshare stations, and everywhere in Paris you'll find the electric bikes (Lime, etc.) to zip around the city.
