General Overview

3500 ft.² , three level home on Lake Hickory, NC. Come enjoy the magnificent sunrise and sunset on the glistening lake while enjoying your favorite beverage! This is our primary residence so a house swap is ideal. Our home is located within 20-30 minutes from the following local attractions: Hiddenite Gem mines https://www.emeraldhollowmine.com/ (the only public mine of its kind in the nation!), Riverbend Park, Rocky Face Mt Park, Brushy Mountain Golf Course. And @ an hour to the following bigger city destinations: Boone, Charlotte, Winston Salem for quick day trips.

The Space

Three bedrooms upstairs (king, queen, full) with an additional full bed in the basement along with an additional twin bed in the room over the garage. Three full bathrooms with an additional half bath. Two large decks overlooking the lake.

Guest Access

Three story Lake home with stairs leading to each floor.

Notes

Two person kayak available. Dock can be used for fishing or lounging. The boat and Jet Ski are not available to guests for liability purposes. We have a couple bikes available for cruising around our neighborhood. Outdoor TV entertainment area. Solo fire pit available The fireplaces inside the home are not to be used due to liability reasons. Thank you.

Neighbourhood

Very quiet neighborhood. Home resides in a dead end cul-de-sac. A great neighborhood for walking. There is a park within walking distance within a mile from our house. A walking trail is part of the park for a great workout. Nearby is a local restaurant called Crossroads Grill. Getting to my home

Charlotte Douglas Airport is only a little over an hour away from our home. If you don’t have your own transportation, renting a car is the best mode of transportation to travel to our home and to use while you are vacationing here.

My husband and I are both recently retired. I worked as an educator for over 32 yesrs. I’ve taught elementary school and served as a school counselor at the elementary, high school and college levels. I was an in college administration at the community college level when I retired. My husband recently retired as a District Court Judge and worked in private practice as an attorney prior to that. We have 2 adult sons who both live in Raleigh, NC. I can’t forget our furry addiction to our family whose name is Fenway. He is a very spoiled rat terrier who loves to take walks and enjoys a good belly rub!
