Neighbourhood
We’re in a quiet little hamlet just two miles from North Berwick, a beautiful seaside town that’s often voted one of the best places to live in the UK. It’s got a laidback charm, with beautiful beaches, great places to eat, and a really friendly, welcoming feel.
There’s loads to explore nearby. North Berwick itself has two lovely beaches, and just along the coast you’ve got Yellowcraig, Gullane, and the hidden gem of Seacliff - all perfect for walks, swimming, or just spending time by the sea. It’s also great for families, with the Scottish Seabird Centre, boat trips to Bass Rock, and plenty of space to roam. It also has some excellent golf courses dotted down the coastline.
Being just outside town means you get the peace and quiet of the countryside, while still being really close to everything. Edinburgh’s just 30 minutes away by train or car, so you can easily pop in for a day out and be back by the beach in time for tea. You can also reach the Pentland Hills, Fife, Northumberland and Loch Lomond easily if wanting to explore a little further afield.
