General Overview

Although we have a beautiful family home, we created our luxury glamping tent and amenities on a separate space on our property as a fun Covid activity! After spending many nights under canvas listening to kangaroos graze and letting the kookaburras’ laugh decide what time we got up, we opened the camp for friends, family and paying guests, We have since hosted hundreds of visitors from all over Australia and the world. Everyone is blown away by the beauty, privacy and luxury of our little bush pocket, just a stone’s throw from the region’s best wineries, markets and restaurants. The beautiful 30sq metre bell tent is decked out with antique ephemera and is far better equipped than a hotel, with a queen bed, designer linens, electric blankets, heating/aircon, bar table, fridge, Weber bbq and small library. Outside there’s a wonderful private campfire, or you can watch the black cockatoos wheeling in from the cast iron clawfoot bath and shower (both with steaming hot water) in the shadow of towering karri trees. Shy kangaroos and possums may visit at a distance around sunset, and our staffies and chickens are bound to pop in too! This is a very special place, and we’re delighted to share it with the PLU community. Please note my availability calendar is indicative only, we are very open to requests for other dates, depending on whether we already have airbnb bookings.

The Space

Our canvas bell tent (with power) is the size of an average hotel room, but with several acres of outdoor living. Sit on the deck under the awning, sip your nearby winery finds around your private campfire or maybe under the stars in your hot outdoor bath as the native birds and kangaroos meander nearby. We’ve taken all the discomfort out of camping with a super comfy queen sized bed, electric blanket and designer linens, antique Persian floor rug, heating/aircon, little library, bar and cafe stations, refrigerator and Weber barbecue. A fully equipped camp kitchen has everything you need to prepare the region’s famous fresh produce, while the al fresco (but very private) hot bath and shower are just across from your tent. The toilet is an immaculately kept flushing portable which we keep freshly stocked with hand towels, flowers and artisanal soaps. The camp is near a quiet road and about 70 metres from our main home and vineyard, where there’s usually someone home with our pups to help with anything you need. This is camping for people who don’t camp, and you’ll want for nothing!

Neighbourhood

The region’s most famous wineries are just down the road, we have a beautiful and popular walking/cycling track on our boundary which leads to town without crossing a road. Magnificent forests and stunning show caves are nearby. World class surf beaches are within 15 minutes drive and Margaret River town with its vibrant restaurants, markets, bars, boutique shops, supermarkets and entertainment are an easy 5 minute drive.
