General Overview

Our flat is an urban oasis. We love St. Albans because it is a beautiful historic small city, with parks and a Roman Theatre. Plenty to do and lots of good restaurants. There is a community feel, but we are also a 5 minute walk from the St. Albans City train station, with Thameslink trains to Kings Cross for easy access to Central London. The best of both worlds!

The Space

Open plan living room, dining area and kitchen with floor to ceiling windows that open onto a wrap around terrace patio.  Tons of natural light! The kitchen is updated and very functional. Hard surface floors throughout except for bedrooms which are carpeted.

Neighbourhood

Our flat is in a smart and peaceful development near the train station.  15 min walk to city centre with museum, farmer's market, shopping centre and restaurants. St. Albans Golf Course (famous for origination of the Ryder Cup) is a 15 min walk or a 5 minute Uber ride away. We are also located on a greenway that allows for walking and biking.

Getting to my home

Best to arrive into St Albans City train station. Frequent trains from London (Kings Cross/St Pancras) and is also on the train line from Luton Airport.

Nearest airport

Luton airport is closest (approximately 35 mins by Thameslink and bus), but Heathrow more useful and about 1 hr 15 mins total by train.  Easy trip with step-free change at Farringdon station.

Getting Around

You can access all of St. Albans by walking and don't need a car. If you want, Uber is easily available, and use the Citymapper app to utilise local buses. Use St Albans City station to get into London. In the event that the Thameslink is not running, use Citymapper to use other options to get into London.
