General Overview
What I love most about my home is how effortlessly it blends Savoyard heritage with comfort, nature, and alpine charm. Maybe it's the hand-carved beams or the welcoming fireplace, but Le Pèle has an unmistakably cozy, authentic vibe—something I’ve rarely found elsewhere.
This ski-in/ski-out chalet apartment sits on the ground floor of the Anima Alpina farmhouse. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, it’s perfect for family getaways or hosting friends. Ideally located right on the slopes—at the junction of a blue and a black run, just in front of a chairlift—and along the Tour du Mont Blanc hiking trail (and the UTMB itinerary!), you won’t need to touch your car to enjoy everything the mountain has to offer.
Step outside and you’re in a peaceful shared garden with a seven-seat jacuzzi — perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure.
The outdoor space is one of my favorite features: cozy lounge furniture, sunbeds for soaking up the alpine sun, a brasero, and a BBQ for relaxed evenings under the stars. Guests also have access to a well-equipped communal gym and private parking, making each stay effortlessly comfortable.
What truly makes Le Pèle special is its location: right in the heart of the action, with breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc range, yet just five minutes by car from both downtown Les Houches and the vibrant center of Chamonix. It’s peaceful, private, and incredibly convenient. And with Geneva airport just an hour away, it’s both easy to reach and hard to leave—just the way I like it.
We also have plenty of storage space in the flat, a ski locker, and high-speed wifi.
The Space
This is our secondary mountain home. I bought this 18th-century farmhouse in 2011 and have been renovating it with lots of patience (read tears and pain!).
Guest Access
There is only one floor. The surface is circa 120 square meters.
Notes
There is a loft (the former barn of the farmhouse) above this ground-floor flat, with which the garden, jacuzzi are shared.

Neighbourhood
We are at the very end of the road, at the crossroads of ski slopes and hiking/mountain biking trails, right in front of a chairlift.
Getting to my home
Best to have a car to get about, though there is a public bus stop right in front of the house.
Nearest airport
Geneva airport, 1h away.
Getting Around
The closest supermarket is in Les Houches downtown, a five-minute drive away. There is also a local boulangerie down the road from us (at the foot of the cable car). Great to bring your e-bike to cycle back up the 280m of uphill!
