The Space

Our bright, 600 square foot cottage is located in the Sun Communities mobile home/RV park (250 sites), within walking distance to the Gulf waterfront. It’s a one bedroom bungalow (queen bed) with a well appointed all electric kitchen, living room and Florida room, all with air conditioning and heat. A front porch and a back porch with seven steps each into the house are at the two entrances. Amenities include a smart TV, WiFi, dining table for two, one bathroom with shower, and two bicycles.

Dunedin, FL is located on the west coast of Florida. With a population of about 36,000 it is rich with natural beauty and points of interest. Dunedin is well known for its many excellent restaurants, Friday and Saturday farmers and art markets, shopping and beautiful sunsets. It is home to the Toronto Blue Jays winter baseball stadium, and Honeymoon Island State Park. 

We are located on the well traveled Pinellas Trail, with over 70 miles of paved walking/biking trails to Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, and St. Petersburg.

Neighbourhood

Within the park are a large resort style pool area, two pickleball courts, activity center and office, and two self laundromats.

**We wanted to make you aware that our park, Sun Retreats is rebuilding after Hurricane Helene. This includes construction vehicles entering during the day. Our cottage is 100% perfect and we think you will like it. We just wanted to let you know that some of Sun Retreats is in transition.

There is a large shopping center including a Publix grocery and liquor store, numerous excellent restaurants, all within a walkable (on bike path) half mile of the park.

Beaches:
Honeymoon Island State Park is 2.5 miles away, with fabulous beaches and natural areas for an $8 per day pass. Renowned as one of the top beaches in the US, Clearwater Beach is 10 miles south the park.

Area entertainment and recreation:
Clearwater is 8 miles away is reachable by bike or the local Jolly Trolly (tourist bus), with more top restaurants. Great music scene includes the outdoor 9,000 seat The Sound music venue, intimate old Capitol Theater (739 seats), and Ruth Eckerd Hall that all host well known music acts in the theater seating 2180. It is also home to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, deep sea fishing fleet, and world famous beaches.

Nearest airport

Tampa International (TPA) and Clearwater/St. Petersburg (PIE) are both about 30 minutes drive from the cottage.

Getting Around

You'll have access to our two bicycles, which will get you to great beaches, Publix grocery store, several restaurants, Downtown Dunedin and more. 

You can also take the Jolly Trolly tourist bus, and Uber and Lyft are easily accessible through their respective apps.
