General Overview
Our 4 bedroom home with pool on the NSW north coast is surrounded by beaches, nature reserves and national parks. There is a nature reserve at our back door and another one over the road. We are within 10 mins walk of 3 excellent surfing beaches. We are just outside of Woolgoolga, named Australia’s best mainland beach in 2025!
There are so many opportunities for different types of holidays here. We are in a unique area for Australia, where the mountains meet the sea, and we are famous for our beautiful natural beauty and rivers. We have heaps of swimming, surfing, snorkelling, hiking, camping, kayaking, sup-ping, mtb-ing and other outdoor adventures around, including UNESCO World Heritage areas. Or explore our regions villages, towns, markets, cafes, craft breweries etc. Or just chill at the beach or in our home with a book. Or take a day trip up the coast to iconic places like Byron Bay etc.
Our home has a beautiful coastal vibe, and multiple zones inside and out to chill out and enjoy the beautiful surrounds.
The Space
Our house has high ceilings, lots of space, great angles and heaps of natural light, as well as reverse cycle ducted air conditioning.
We have 4 bedrooms -
bedroom 1 with king size bed,
bedroom 2 with queen size bed, bedroom 3 with a desk and a queen size wall bed, and
bedroom 4 with a desk and we can make up with either 1 or 2 mattresses.
We have 2 living areas, a large open plan kitchen and dining area, and a bathroom plus an ensuite. Timber and tiled floors thru most of the house, with carpet in 3 of the bedrooms.
We have 3 outdoor decks, meaning there’s always somewhere to find some sun/shade outside.
We have 2 tvs with streaming services, an Xbox, or if music is more your vibe we have 5 guitars, an amp, hand drums and a piano. Our bookshelves are filled with books, puzzles and games, or step outside onto one of our decks, our pool, or into the nature reserve at our back door, where we get wildlife nearly every day, and often set up our fire pit and play outdoor games (giant jenga and finnska are faves!).
Please DM me if you'd like to see a video tour of our house!

Neighbourhood
Our calendar reflects our current travel plans and home availability for nonsims, but please feel free to contact us regarding possible sims at other times.
Our local neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Or you can find more action in one of our local towns.
There is a lot of national parks and undeveloped bush around our house, with lots of wildlife - we often get kangaroos, kookaburras, rosellas, king parrots and black cockatoos at our back door.
We have World Heritage listed national parks close enough to visit for the day, and are surrounded by national parks, rivers and mountains.
It's 10 mins or less to walk to any of 3 different beaches and several lovely headlands. We live in an area well known for surfing, and there are patrolled, family friendly beaches too, and great estuaries.
Our broader region is a stunning stretch of coastline, mountains and rivers and has something for everyone, from pristine beaches and lush rainforests, to quaint towns and bustling markets. And we can’t forget to mention the great food around!
We are 5 minutes drive from Woolgoolga - famous for its beautiful, unspoilt beaches, magnificent rainforests and its vibrant multi-cultural community. Woolgoolga has a bunch of hidden gems including 2 craft breweries, a distillery, great coffee and food and an art gallery. Woolgoolga was named Australia’s best mainland beach in 2025, with a shout out for being the beach with it all – from magical rockpools and walking tracks through to open green space and eclectic market stalls, whale watching, fishing surfing and nature.
We are 25 minutes from Coffs Harbour - one of NSW’s most diverse destinations with spectacular beaches and great food.
Coffs Harbour is also great for family friendly activities. The Big Banana has ice skating, laser tag, mini golf, toboggan rides, water slides, 3d cinema + more, Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary is gear for kids- touch a dolphin after the show, watch the penguins get fed, the Clog Barn - a miniature Dutch village with a menu full of delicious pancakes, the Butterly House with a maze & life sized dinosaurs, and treetops adventure up at t he beautiful Sealy Lookout. Plus lots of beautiful beaches.
In the hinterland there are several villages to explore and a plethora of great natural spots - waterfalls, swimming holes, forest walks etc. Or take a day trip up the coast to the iconic Byron Bay or the hinterland villages behind it. There are also several mountain bike parks nearby.
There really is a plethora of options and we are happy to provide advice and recommendations.
Getting to my home
Best option is drive or fly to Coffs Harbour Airport, Ballina Airport or Gold Coast Airport.
Nearest airport
Coffs Harbour, around 30 mins drive
Ballina - around 1h 45m
Gold Coast, around 2h 30m
Getting Around
We are in a small village with a general store/cafe around 10 mins walk/2mins drive away. Woolgoolga is about 5 mins drive away, and Coffs Harbour - a major regional center - is about 25 mins drive away. We have potential to include a car in any potential swap, depending on details.

Happy to provide local advice and recommendations !
My family and I just completed a 4 day vacation in Jacqui’s beautiful home in Arawarra. We were greeted by kangaroos and Magpies every morning in the nature reserve that serves as a spectacular backyard. Walking and cycling to the beach was fun and easy. There were a few beaches to choose from where we snorkelled, surfed and took long walks. We saw whales too!!
The house itself was spacious and all 6 of us fit comfortably. The pool was lovely, especially for the kids.
Communication was clear and friendly with Jacqui. Simple to follow instructions regarding entry, things to do and the neighbourhood were problem free.
Our entire group thoroughly relaxed in the clean and comfortable home.
It was a 5 star experience 🌟Thank you Jacqui and family 🙏
Please come to Vancouver so that we can spoil you.
We had a fantastic stay at Jacqui and Chris’s place. Their home was welcoming, spotless, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing swap. The outlook deck overlooking the reserve was wonderfully peaceful—a perfect spot to unwind. The location was quiet and tranquil, with several easy walks and bike rides nearby that led to stunning headlands and beaches.
The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil and gadget you could possibly need. Much like our own home, a good manual coffee machine was a must-have, and luckily, they had one too—definitely a highlight! :)
Jacqui was great to deal with and left my home just as she found it. Would happily recommend her & her family as a fabulous guest to others.
Jacqui and her family took great care of our home. Thank you again for letting us stay in yours. Let's do it again sometime in the future!
Gabriella and family stayed in our home for 4 days. The house was treated really respectfully, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful gifts they left for us. Communication was great, and we would happily welcome Gabriella and her family again anytime.
Stef and Elle’s home had absolutely everything we needed and was in such a great location. We loved being able to cook at home with a really well equipped kitchen, or we were really close to town when we wanted to go out. The outdoor area was lovely and we really enjoyed the fire pit. Stef was really easy to deal with and very responsive and we appreciated the bits and pieces they left to get us started.
Stef and Elle were wonderful guests in our home, treating it as their own and leaving it super clean. Thanks for the great exchange Stef and Elle.

Family of 3 - me, partner and 14 yo son. Professionals who work mostly from home. Our whole family loves the outdoors and nature . We are new to home exchanging, but excited about the prospect. We are keen to expand our horizons, share our wonderful home and region with others, and hopefully make some friendships along the way. We love water, mountains and mountain biking, but are keen to explore all horizons and open to all possibilities - the closer to home the shorter (stay and notice!) we will consider.
We are respectful, clean and tidy, and would love to have the opportunity to chat about options.
