General Overview
Welcome to our child-friendly home.
Here you will find plenty of opportunities to create good memories.
The kitchen is well-equipped - with a kitchen island and dining area. You can enjoy cozy dinners in our atmospheric dining room. The living room has room for the whole big family.
The house has 4 bedrooms (1 master bedroom, 2 children's rooms and 1 teenager) and a small livingroom on the 1st floor. The livingroom has a TV and Wii that you are welcome to use.
The house has two bathrooms, one of which has both a bathtub and a shower.
Outdoors: Gym, slide and fire pit. A large garden and loungearea.
The Space
The house was originally an old school and is located in a rural setting. Our garden is enclosed and private, and we have a large polytunnel greenhouse where we grow a variety of vegetables. We have a lovely terrace with both a lounge and dining area. You are very welcome to use the gas grill.
It’s about 10 km to the larger town of Aabybro, where we do all our shopping. There, you'll find plenty of opportunities for shopping, including a bakery, butcher section, cafés, pizzeria, sushi, and several specialty stores.

Neighbourhood
You can reach the sea in just 15 minutes by car. We often go to Rødhus and Ejstrup Beach ourselves. One special thing about the beaches in our area is that you’re allowed to drive your car directly onto the beach. You can camp there and enjoy a full day by the sea. Among the more well-known beaches are Blokhus and Løkken, though these are more touristy, so we often prefer the less crowded ones.
We’re surrounded by beautiful nature—large forests, dune plantations, and Fosdalen, which is definitely worth one or more visits. There are plenty of scenic hiking trails and viewpoints to explore.
For those interested in culture, Aalborg—Denmark’s 4th largest city—is just a 30-minute drive away. Here you'll find a wide range of restaurants, museums, a zoo, a climbing park, water parks, a concert hall, shopping streets, and much more.
For families with children, Fårup Sommerland is a must-visit. It offers lots of roller coasters, carousels, and other rides that are sure to bring both butterflies in the stomach and big laughs. Close to Fårup Sommerland is FunArt, where you can play mini golf, football golf, and paint ceramics.
Our area is also known for several great nature playgrounds—all with proper toilet facilities, making them ideal for family outings.
If you’re up for a longer drive, you can head to Skagen and experience “The Top of Denmark.” It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Here you can stand with one foot in the Skagerrak and the other in the Kattegat, as the two seas meet right at this point. Nearby, you’ll also find Råbjerg Mile - a migrating sand dune where you’ll feel like you’re standing in the middle of a desert.

Hi all
We are a happy family of 5. We love being in nature - especially forests, mountains, sea and lakes. We also appreciate food experiences and the children love amusement parks, but also a good book and a board game.
We are decent and calm people, with respect for other people's things and places.
We are in our 40s and our children are 10, 12 and 14 years old.
We are very much looking forward to many more holiday experiences.
We are relatively new to PLU, but have swapped houses via other portals for the last 10 years and love the concept.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
