General Overview

Welcome to our split-level modern home, full of natural light and surrounded by wild, untouched nature! Our house is located in the Villa Monte Reserve — a 400-acre private natural reserve in the subtropical northwest of Argentina. Enjoy panoramic views of the Santa Barbara mountain range and listen to the peaceful sound of the forest stream from the terrace. This is a unique destination to connect with nature, community, and adventure, while enjoying modern comforts in the heart of the jungle.

The Space

Our home was designed and built by us with love and attention to detail. It’s a split-level house with large windows that flood the space with natural light and provide beautiful views of the forest canopy. The house includes 2 cozy bedrooms, modern bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living area, and a large terrace overlooking the mountains. On the property, you’ll find a pond, fruit and nut trees, a vegetable garden, and a greenhouse. It’s a perfect spot for families, nature lovers, and those looking to experience farm life in a natural setting.

Guest Access

The home is on several levels connected by stairs. Guests have full access to the house and the surrounding Villa Monte Reserve, including hiking trails, rivers, ponds, and communal gardens. Activities like horseback riding, biking, swimming, and farm projects are available. We offer pickup from Palma Sola if you are arriving by public transport. Private transport can be arranged separately if needed.

Notes

We encourage guests to engage with the natural environment and, if they wish, participate in activities on the reserve like gardening, beekeeping, woodworking, or helping with animal care. For families with children, there are many fun and adventurous activities like tree climbing, fishing, land art, and river explorations. Please note that we are located in a remote area — ideal for those looking for peace, adventure, and connection with nature.

Nearby activities include visits to charming local villages, artisan producers, natural hot springs, and breathtaking nature trails. The area is perfect for hiking, birdwatching, swimming in crystal-clear rivers, biking, or simply relaxing and taking in the views.

Getting to my home

Our home is located within Villa Monte Reserve near the town of Palma Sola in northwest Argentina. You can reach us in several ways: • 🚌 By public transport: Take a bus or shared taxi from San Salvador de Jujuy or San Pedro de Jujuy to Palma Sola. From there, we can arrange to pick you up and bring you to the reserve. • 🚗 By private transport: If you’re traveling with your own car, we’ll send you a detailed map and directions to find us easily. 4x4 is not necessary, but we recommend a car with good clearance for comfort. If you prefer, we can also help organize private transport directly from your location. Just ask and we’ll be happy to assist!

Getting Around

Once you’re at Villa Monte Reserve, most activities can be enjoyed right on the property — hiking trails, rivers, ponds, gardens, and farm activities are all within walking distance. If you want to explore the surrounding area, we recommend having a car for more flexibility. Nearby villages, natural hot springs, and local producers are a short drive away. For those without a car, we can help arrange local transport or guided tours to nearby sites. Many of our guests also love exploring by bike or on horseback, both available right here at the reserve.
