General Overview

We live in a large home in Burlington, Ontario, 🇨🇦 , in between Toronto and Niagara Falls. Our home has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Our large backyard has a patio, hot tub and trampoline, while our basement has table tennis, toys and an entertainment area. The Burlington waterfront has a beach, many restaurants and various festivals in the summer months. We live close to great hiking trails such as the Bruce trail, and Bronte Creek National Park is a 10 minute bike ride away.

The Space

The main living area of our home has two story ceilings, with large windows that let in lots of natural light. The kitchen is newly renovated with new appliances. In the basement you will find a finished recreation room with table tennis, an entertainment area, a bedroom, 3 pc bathroom and home gym with treadmill, reclining bike and weights. Outside we have a large backyard with a patio, hot tub and trampoline.

Guest Access

There are 3 floors, with 4 bedrooms on the second floor and 1 bedroom in the basement. We have a dog (Shetland Sheepdog) and a cat that we can find alternate care for while we are away.

Neighbourhood

Our home is built in a lovely golf course community. We are very close to the Niagara Escarpment, and there are many hiking trails and waterfalls nearby. We are close to the GO train which can take you to Toronto or Niagara Falls.

Getting to my home

The Toronto Pearson Airport is 48 km from our home. It will be easier to rent a car to get around, however Uber or public transportation is available. We have many many nice restaurants nearby, and grocery stores within a 10 minute walk. Our city is situated on Lake Ontario, in between Niagara Falls and Toronto.

Getting Around

It will be easiest to rent a car to get around, but it is also possible to use Uber or public transportation if you prefer. The GO train is a 10 minute drive from our home and will take you to Toronto or Niagara Falls. There are 4 grocery stores and many restaurants within 10 -15 min walk from our home.

Corrine

We are a couple from Canada who love nature and active holidays. Our favourite vacations have been cycling around Cape Breton Island and skiing or hiking, depending on the season, in Banff National Park. We have 3 young adult sons who we have enjoyed travelling with through the years, however, now they are busy working and studying so there are less opportunities for that. Alvin is a paediatrician and Corrine is a veterinarian, and we sometimes serve on volunteer trips to use these skills to help others . We are excited for upcoming trips to Iceland and Portugal and have many more destinations on our bucket list!
