Neighbourhood

Colonia Doctores is one of Mexico City’s oldest neighborhoods. While much of it has been rebuilt under modern seismic codes, it still retains a classic, local vibe — with traditional shops, street life, and an authentic urban feel. Just a few blocks away is Arena México, the historic home of lucha libre, along with pulquerías and other alternative nightlife venues rooted in local culture. Across the Cuahtémoc avenue, you’ll find Roma Norte, a cultural and gastronomic district filled with cafés, art galleries, and lively vibe. The Historic Center is also nearby — just three metro stops away. Despite being in the heart of the city, the area is quieter and more lived-in than the typical tourist zones. Ideal for travelers seeking authenticity with great access.

Getting to my home

You can reach the apartment easily: • From Mexico City International Airport (AICM) by Uber or taxi in ~25–40 minutes • From the airport by Metro Line 5 + Line 3 (Niños Héroes station) in ~50 minutes • If arriving by long-distance bus, TAPO and Terminal Norte are metro-connected Also accessible by trolleybus and metrobus.

Nearest airport

Benito Juárez International Airport (AICM) — approx. 10–12 km ~25–40 minutes by car depending on traffic

Getting Around

The apartment is: • 2 min walk to Metro Niños Héroes (Line 3) • 5 min walk to Metrobus Jardín Pushkin • 5 min walk to Trolleybus at Monumento a Lázaro Cárdenas • 3 stops from the Historic Center by metro • Easy access to Roma, Condesa, and Narvarte • Cafés and shops abound in Roma, but Doctores itself is increasingly offering local options at more accessible prices, with a distinct everyday neighborhood atmosphere.

Esteban

Hi! I’m Esteban, a musician and university educator based in Mexico City, originally from Veracruz. I work at La Salle University and in creative music projects with students and artists. I love discovering new cultures, enjoying quiet moments, and exploring cities with history and soul. I often travel to the U.S. for academic events and collaborations, and I’m starting to explore Europe more too. I’m tidy, respectful, and always treat homes with care. I usually travel solo or with close collaborators. Happy to exchange and connect!
