General Overview

**Currently only looking for NYC swaps — sorry, I won't reply to other places** Welcome to our place in lovely Penha de França, Lisbon. Out house sits at the top of the hill and is 2 min away from one of the city’s best viewpoints: Monte Agudo. We love the location as it’s at a cross point in the center of the city. On the one side, you get the overview of the city and major touristic points like Graça and can enjoy a peaceful, walking neighborhood, on the other you’re a few steps down to neighborhoods like Anjos, Intendente and Mouraria, with their multi-cultural shops, trendy restaurants, bars and cafes filled with life. If you want to go farther into the city, the subway is just a 7-min descent away (can’t promise it will be as easy to walk back up). We also use the bus plenty when we’re being lazy as it leaves us almost at our door. We are often outside because of the options presented to us but we occasionally will stay in and enjoy our apartment. We have an Apple TV which is great to stream movies to and just enjoy our couch a lot. The place is spacious and filled with light so you’ll never feel locked away from the world when inside. Finally, we cook a lot which is great because our spacious kitchen allows for even the most complicated dishes. There’s all kinds of household in there if you plan to do the same. Plus: an espresso machine!
