General Overview

Our bright and charming holiday apartment is located in a former mountain resort hotel in Valdres, close to Golsfjellet mountain region in Inland Norway. It’s a perfect place for a couple or a solo traveller. We only do reciprocal exchange with this apartment, preferably non-sim. This is a great area for hiking, skiing, fishing and cycling. You can start hiking and crosscountry skiing right outside the door, and there you can go downhill skiing 16 minutes away by car, at Storefjell: https://www.valdres.com/things-to-do/storefjell-ski-and-sledding-centre-p610243?_ga=2.225014426.1031823918.1754151051-812500365.1754151050 The major ski resort of Hemsedal is 45 minutes away. If you plan on travelling between the East (Oslo) and the West (Bergen) of Norway, this is a convenient place to relax for some days, to discover this beautiful mountain area.

The Space

The apartment is 36 m2 and consists of an open concept livingroom and kitchen, a spacious bedroom with a large double bed and a small bathroom with shower. The apartment ist best suited for a couple or s somo traveller, but there is sleeping space for a third person on the sofa in the living room (suitable for shorter stays). The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, oven, cook tops, dishwasher and microwave. There is a kitchen table with four chairs.

Guest Access

The apartment complex contains a swimming pool, a gym, a playroom and a lobby with a fireplace. Please note that there is no restaurant or café in the building. The building is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

Notes

We only accept reciprocal exchange, preferably non-sim for this apartment, no Globes or Plutos. This apartment is primarily suited for one or two adults, but there is room for three persons with sleeping arrangements for one person in the livingroom for shorter stays. Because of the pool the apartment is only open to adults, or one or adult and a teenager 16 years or older. The apartment is strictly none-smoking and fragrance free. Please note, however, that even though we have no pets ourselves, two of our children have cats who sometimes stay with us for a few days.

Neighbourhood

The apartment complex is surrounded by quite flat and accessible terrain, and with ski trails for cross country skiing just outside the door. More diverse and mountainous landscape is within easy reach. There is a river nearby for fishing,

Getting to my home

You need a car to get here and to stay here. Sanderstølen is just over 3 hours by car from Oslo and 5 hours from Bergen.

Getting Around

There is a small café and a grocery store close by (5 minutes by car). There are two mountain resort hoteks with restaurants about 15-20 minutes away. The villages of Leira, Gol and Fagernes are within short driving range (20-30 minutes). The major downhill skiing resort of Hemsedal is 45 minutes away by car, and there is also a smaller track closer by. If you would like to disvover the beautiful fjords of western Norway it takes 2,5 hours to drive to Flåm.
