Neighbourhood
Morro Bay is an old fishing town, centered around the beautiful bay and majestic Morro Rock. There is lots of sea life in the protected bay, including sea lions and sea otters. The Embarcadero area of the town, along the waterfront, is within walking distance, about 10 mins. from the house. There are many shops and restaurants in town and along the waterfront, as well as supermarkets, convenience stores, and a movie theater elsewhere in town. There is a golf course within 1/2 mile of the house. Our home is located in a quiet section of town, very residential, with friendly neighbors.
Nearest airport
The nearest airport is in San Luis Obispo, about 20 mins. from our house. Other airports include Santa Barbara (2 hrs. away), and LAX (3.5 hrs. away).
Getting Around
Although there is some public transportation in Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo County, it is limited. A car is best to get around town and to visit the other touristic sites in the county.
