General Overview

Our house is a very old farmhouse that we have restored with traditional, noble and ecological materials, in the middle of a wooded park (8000 m2) that we have gradually created over forty years. We have added a very large salt pool (15x5x8). 18 years ago, we created two gîtes of 65m2 each that we offer for exchange. We are in the countryside, 2.5 km from the village and 17kms from Toulouse. Our privileged location allows many excursions and visits, both on foot, by bike and by car while enjoying a privileged setting, quiet, without neighbors! Our animal friends are welcome.

The Space

The house consists on the ground floor, with south-east opening of our house. Upstairs, by a wide staircase are the two cottages, with an independent entrance. Parking is located at the entrance of the property. The 65 m2 gîte opens onto the large balcony terrace, the garden, a panoramic view and the barbecue area. It is composed of a living room with a fully fitted American kitchen well stocked with utensils, a dining room with beautiful crockery, a living room with fireplace, sofa and armchairs, television, internet access, a master bedroom with a large comfortable bed (160x200), wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables. The second bedroom which can be used as an office has two trundle beds for 1 person, desk, small bedside table...) The bathroom has a bathtub with hydromassage shower, washing machine, dryer. The toilet is separate. Deodoration is athypic: lime paints, stained glass, mosaics, casein-painted furniture...

Neighbourhood

We are not in a neighborhood but in the middle of nature, surrounded by fields and woods. You will find peace and space. From there, you can walk along the GR d'Arles/Compostela, the Canal du Midi and access other sites to visit. In the village: an organic, local and delicious bakery, an organic and local farmers' market every Thursday in the late afternoon. There is also a refreshment bar and, in summer, every Thursday evening, a music competition. For shows and restaurants, you will have to take your car. I will advise you.

Getting Around

It is essential to have a car. The village is 2.5 km away, as are the shops. But it is then easy to get to Toulouse by metro. To visit beautiful places (villages, mountain walks, nature reserve, cities such as Albi, Foix, Carcassonne) a car is necessary. We have many GR trails near the Canal du Midi. Many places are accessible by bike. All shops, pharmacy, doctor, restaurants, gyms, cinema and other amenities are between 2.5 km and 10 km. Supermarkets and markets at 2.5 km
