Nelson is named the “Sunniest Place on the South Island” - the weather is quite mild all year. Within walking distance of our home: Award winning bakery; tea room; coffee and pizza cafe; small grocery store; gas station. Over 15 award winning wineries within a 25 mile radius; beautiful beaches 20 minutes away; a huge network of hiking & biking trails walking distance from our home; galleries, coffee shops and restaurants 20-30 minutes away. We are within 1 hour of three beautiful national parks: Abel Tasman, Nelson Lakes & Kahuranghi Natl Park.

Getting Around

While you can walk to our small village and take an electric bus to Richmond and Nelson, there are so many beautiful things to see so you will probably want a vehicle to get around.
