General Overview

Our apartment lies on the third floor of a small apartment complex near Salzburg city center.

The Space

We have a balcony with a nice view of Untersberg, where we like to have meals or relax in the evenings. The kitchen is brand new (re-done in May 2018) and fully equipped, bathroom and separate toilet a bit older, but in perfect working condition. There is a bedroom and a living room with a sleeping sofa for two more people.

Notes

Salzburg is a perfect place for people interested in music, culture and museums. The summer and Easter festivals are particularly popular, but there is something going on all year long. In winter time, there are romantic Christmas markets and, again, lots of music. It is also conveniently located for excursions to Salzkammergut, or to one of the beautiful lakes near Salzburg. Of course, you can also go see where Mozart grew up, or the sites of The Sound of Music. Salzburg city offers a lot of attractions (https://www.salzburg.info/en/sights/top10), and so does the county of Salzburg (https://www.salzburgerland.com/de/top-ausflugsziele/ ) If you feel like exploring a bit further, there is Salzburg Airport with good connections all over Europe, and also trains to Munich (1 hour), Vienna (2 hours), and many other places within easy reach.

Neighbourhood

The apartment lies in a quiet and green residential area with nice walks along a little river or across the fields. We like to walk to Leopoldskroner Weier along Almkanal, or even to the city center if we feel motivated.

Getting Around

Next to the apartment, you can find a good sized grocery store, and a pharmacy. By bus, you can reach the city centre within 10 minutes, the train station within 20 minutes. The bus stop is only 2 minutes away. We also have four bicycles for our guests.

Europa, gerne Meer und Strand. Leider sind wir an Schulferien gebunden. We like to travel to seaside places, preferably in Europe, but we are open to all sorts of new experiences. Due to our children, we can only travel during school holidays.
