General Overview

Our cozy cabin is perched on top of sunny mossy bedrock in the middle of Lopez Island surrounded by 10 secluded acres and 1/4 mile drive through a forest of ferns, cedars and firs. It sits at the foot of Lopez Hill with beautifully maintained public hiking trails that can be accessed by our private trail and our personal home is adjacent to the cabin. Lopez Island is a 40-minute breathtaking ferry ride from Anacortes, WA where whales and seals are often seen. If you’re looking for a quiet environment with no light pollution, incredible fresh air, and only the sound of owls and frogs at night, then you will probably fall in love with magical Lopez. It is easy to travel by ferry for day trips to the other San Juan Islands (Orcas, Shaw, San Juan)

The Space

We spent many months demolishing some parts of the cabin and remaking other parts and reused wood that was originally milled right here on the property. The space is a funky result of our combined creativity. It features a composting toilet, a livestock trough for the bathtub and a queen-sized bed up in a two-skylight loft.

Guest Access

Agility is recommended because of steps to the cabin and a ladder to the sleeping loft.

Notes

Late July through August you are welcomed to pick some blueberries from our orchard.
