Hospitality Description: Kia ora! We are primarily interested in swapping our fab home in Whanganui, New Zealand for somewhere in Bristol, UK, while we're visiting my family who live there. However, we're open to other ideas, especially swapping with other families in NZ. We're flexible about whether the exchanges are simultaneous, non-simultaneous and so on.

General Overview

We live 8km from central Whanganui, on what Kiwis call a "lifestyle block", which is a large piece of land where you can grow food. (Homestead/ smallholding) It's approximately half a hectare or just over one acre. We have lots of fruit trees and veggie patches. There are lovely views to the hills. Our home was built in 2023 and is warm, cosy, and has lots of natural light. There are some quirky artistic features that my husband has put in.

Maddie

We’re Maddie, Michael, Indi and Fern. The kids are 9 and 7 (as of July 2025). Maddie is from Bristol, UK, and Michael is Kiwi,. We have a lovely, semi-rural property in the beautiful city of Whanganui and would love to do occasional home swaps with people in Bristol or nearby, and potentially other parts of the world as well! We love being in the outdoors, city and country, good food, cycling, and so on. The kids have a great sense of adventure. We have a 100% gluten free kitchen, as I'm coeliac. But I'm happy to set up a gluten food prep area for you in a covered space on the deck, or in the large spare bedroom if you wish.
