General Overview

Hi all, My daughter and I would like to offer our apartment in the suburbs of the buzzing Cork city, Ireland. We’re new to this but very excited to share our home when we’re away. It’s a warm, bright and cozy place to relax but also close to parks, beaches, forests, shops, cafes and the buzzing city centre too. A scenic drive brings you to the natural beauty of West Cork and Killarney National Park too. It’s ideal for anyone who would like to visit the Southern region of Ireland.

The Space

Our guests will be able to use the whole apartment: 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen, bathroom. It’s also child friendly and safe as my daughter is only 4 herself. It can accommodate 5 people comfortably (1 double bed, 1 double sofa bed, 1 single sofa bed), and there is a toddler bed suitable for a small child. The living room, kitchen and a dining area are in one space: corner sofa, sofa, tv, extendable dining table with 4-6 chairs (and a child high chair if needed), washing machine, microwave, coffee maker, gas hub, oven, air fryer, kettle, toaster and fridge are available. In the bathroom there is a bath with shower, toilet and a wash basin.

Guest Access

Our home is on the second floor and unfortunately there is no elevator. The double bed is a mid sleeper, there are 2 steps to get into it, so our home is not easy to use for people with mobility issues.

Neighbourhood

Our home is in the suburbs of Cork city, its a safe and quiet area. Pharmacy, grocery stores, post office, a park (short river walk, sports fields, picnic area, playground), gym& swimming pool, pitch and putt course, a few cafes and pubs are within walking distance. Public transport bus stop is 2 mins walk from the front door, this bus line brings you directly into the city center (20mins). There’s a shopping center 5 mins away by bus, too. With car all main roads are easily accessible from the house, it’s very convenient when planning road trips.

Getting to my home

Easiest way to get to our home from the airport is by car or taxi, takes about 10-15mins. With public transport it would take significantly longer (bus from airport to city centre, then another bus line to the apartment)

Nearest airport

Nearest airport is Cork Airport, its only 8.5km away, about 10mins with taxi (~€20).

Getting Around

Shops, cafes, pharmacies are within walking distance, 5-10mins. 2 bigger shopping centres are also nearby, easily accessible by bus. Bus lines from our home operate to the city centre, it takes about 20-30mins, the bus stop is about 2 mins from the front door.
