General Overview

We love that the apartment is located in one of the most famous streets of downtown Budapest: Ráday Street, where shops (Spar), schools, museums (Nemzeti Múzeum), restaurants (Jedermann, EscoBar, Claro, Maverick) are just a few minutes away. St. Stephen's Basilica and the Dohány Street Synagogue are also within walking distance (or by tram). If you want some green environment, just stroll down to the river bank of Danube (6-8 mins on foot), where you can walk, run or cycle. The location of the apartment is good, everything is easily accessible on foot and by public transport.

The Space

The apartment is a bourgeois apartment, but modernly furnished, with photos (taken during our travels) and paintings on the walls, and large bookcases. It has 100 square metres, a kitchen, a living room (with sofa bed), two toilets, a bathroom (shower and bath), a children's room (with bunk bed, down 200x160, up 90x200), a bedroom (with double bed 200x200) and a guest room (with 2 mattresses). It is ideal for four people, but can sleep an extra three people on the sofa and 2 mattresses if necessary. There is a children's room where guests can play with their toys, and a playground and sports playground nearby. On the corridor - gangway it is the last apartment, so no one passes in front of the apartment, we have put there a small table with two chairs where you can sit. You can see from there a fire wall with ivy and wild grapes and a garden.

Guest Access

The apartment is on the fourth floor, in a gangway - for those who get dizzy at heights, it can be dizzying. The key is given by a friend and in a keybox.

Notes

TOP ATTRACTIONS IN BUDAPEST: There are numerous exciting cultural programs to choose from, and not even the sightseeings, but the everyday buildings are impressive too. It's always nice to take a pleasant stroll through the Castle District, the City Park, Váci Street or the Danube Corso. The neo-Gothic Parliament, the largest building in the country. Heroes' Square is one of the symbols of Budapest, built for the millennium celebrations in 1896. The apartment is located in the centre of Budapest, 8-10 minutes from Kálvin Square, in the popular Ráday Street, known as Gastro Street, which is full of bars, restaurants, ice-cream parlours, pastry shops, but as we live in an inner courtyard, our windows do not directly face the street. Pénzes

The Father is a mathematician, the Mother is a philologist, so we each do our bit to teach our kids. We both love a good book, a good movie, and when we can, we get out in nature or go on hikes. Our two children are ten years old, a boy and a girl, and we want to pass on the same way of life to them. We travel a lot, and when we can, we also go on trips in the spring and autumn holidays, in addition to the summer holidays. We parents have travelled all over the world, but with the children we have only visited the Mediterranean coast and a few islands.
