Very spacious treehouse style villa with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms & private plunge pool. Casa Bromelia is immersed in a jungle garden with a river & lots of wildlife.

The Space

Elevated to capture the rainforest view and with spacious accommodation for five, Casa Bromelia is the perfect place to holiday with friends or family. It can also be a wonderfully romantic escape for just the two of you. Casa Bromelia is your luxurious holiday home from which to explore the Caribbean coast: snorkel coral reefs from white sandy beaches, take a horseback trip through the rainforest, surf the Salsa Brava, swing through the rainforest canopy, or simply bird watch from your pool while the barbecue cooks dinner.

Guest Access

* All housing space is elevated, about 1 floor above ground level - only accessible through staircase * Private plunge pool with terrace, loungers, barbecue and outdoor dining furniture on ground level

Notes

You will have the entire house and plunge pool to yourselves, with a private parking spot. Apart from that, you can wander around in our well-kept 2 hectare garden/rain forest park and discover all the wonderful fauna and flora of the Caribbean. We will gladly help you to spot animals or to show you the path to the river.

Neighbourhood

The Caribbean coast of Costa Rica is where the rainforest meets the ocean. This area is stunningly beautiful with lots of beaches, and plenty of nature and wildlife to enjoy. Geckoes Lodge is situated in the small settlement of Cocles, at 4 km from Puerto Viejo. Here you can feel miles from anywhere, but you have everything on your doorstep. Cocles has numerous restaurants and supermarkets, and easy access to the beach. It is a quiet haven where the tropical beauty induces relaxation and embracing the good life: 'Pura Vida'.

SJO - San José International Airport is 260km away - that is a 3-6 hour drive, depending on the weather and traffic :-) 1 hour from our home is Limón National airport.

Getting Around

We are at walking distance from some gorgeous beaches (1.5km or 20 minutes walking), restaurants and supermarkets. The lively center of Puerto Viejo is a 5 minute drive away and Cahuita National Park is 30 minutes.

Tine

We are René (49) and Tine (54). We live Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, in Costa Rica. We're new to PLU, but we're experienced hosts with our family business Geckoes Lodge. René grew up in South America and Tine in Europe, but we both lived a variety of countries and love traveling.
